  1. I almost hate to ask after all this...what is "The Trolley Dilemma"? I must have been under my rock when that one came up.
  2. This whole situation with Correa is completely off the rails. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
  3. I get it...we're all frustrated with the Pohlads, the FO, and the reluctance to spend some money. Would it be great to have someone like Steve Cohen here? Sure it would. Unfortunately, it's not going to happen. Last time I checked, the Pohlads were somewhere in the neighborhood of MLB's 8th richest owners. That's pretty high on the list. We just want to see them spend some of the money on the team, instead of pocketing it.
  4. At this point...I really don't care where he signs, or the amount of money he gets. Time to move on from this mess.
  5. Ok...now that SF and NY both had "concerns" about his injury/condition, how is it that he passed the physical with the Twins? This whole thing isn't adding up.
  6. I'd be open to the right deal, but our FO would probably get fleeced if they do trade him.
  7. The guy is total scum, but if the Dodgers pay most/all of his 2023 salary, I'd bet some team will pick him up.
  8. I'd take just about anyone instead of Garlick.
  9. Always like Esco and hated that we traded him, even though Duran was one of the players we got back for him. That turned out ok. Wouldn't mind him back. Hendriks would be a decent get, but there's no way that the Sox trade him to us. The other guys...fuggettaboutit.
  10. I consider myself to be a "needle mover"...I knocked over my wife's sewing box once. As for Eovaldi...nah.
  11. I've lost what little respect I had for this FO...and that sure wasn't much. I wouldn't count on them to make the right move on anyone, or anything. Bassitt would have been the guy to go after, with Thor next. Apparently, we didn't try for either one. Sure looks to me that we're gonna roll with the starters we've got. They better make some moves for RP's, or we'll be in deep doo doo.
  12. Agree 100%. We ain't even in the conversation right now. The FO needs to get their act together and make some deals.
  13. Oh well...looks like it's about time to start bringing in the 5th tier FA's, and see if we can strike gold. That usually works for us...doesn't it?
  14. The Twins are also on 102.9 FM "The Wolf", which is a WCCO sister station. I don't listen to a lot of the games on radio, but when I do, I listen to 102.9. It's a much clearer signal than 830 AM.
  15. I've read a lot of opinions that feel Lewis is going to come back good as ever, mid 2023 season, just waltz right into the SS job, and make us forget all about Correa. I think we should pump the brakes on that a little bit and just wait and see what happens. Obviously, that would be great, but I sure wouldn't bet on it at this point. We really haven't seen that much of him at the major league level, and although he looked pretty good when he played last season, I think it's extremely early to be counting on him for that. He's also had two serious knee surgeries. Maybe he has issues with the knee when he comes back? Maybe he loses some speed/range/etc? Maybe it affects him at the plate? Who knows if he even does come back next season? Stranger things have certainly happened. My point is...I don't know if we can count on him for 2023 or not just yet. I'll believe it when I see it.
  16. I grew up in the NY/New Jersey metro area, and loved the Mets. Moved here in my mid 20's and I've been here for over 40 years now. I'm a die hard Twins fan, and I will be until the day I die. Even so, I still follow the Mets and I was very happy that the Wilpon's finally sold to Steve Cohen. I knew that would change the way they approached spending, and would let them compete with the effing Yankees. Unfortunately, they've gone too far and I think they're out of control. The way they're spending on FA's is ridiculous. Something needs to be done about it.
  17. Lindor is staying at ss, and Correa moves to 3rd. Like Jeter and Arod did. Apparently they're buddies.
  18. This is REALLY strange, but I honestly can't see this blowing the deal with SF. They'll end up getting it done. He won't be coming back to the Twins. Interesting situation though. I wonder what the medicals showed, because other than getting drilled on the hand, he was fine all season here.
  19. No...on Eovaldi, Pollock, KImbrel, and Britton. Big no, on Grienke. I like Drury, but I doubt they go after him.
  20. I'd sure like to see him contrasting for some team other than the Twins!
