  1. I still believe Perkins can be the closer next year. When he's healthy and well-rested, I'd bet he'll be back to his early 2015 form - or close to it.
  2. Yes, this. Or, actually try using O'Rourke as a LOOGY. I know they don't trust him because he's a rookie and walks too many guys, but he's still really good versus lefties.
  3. I don't want to pile the hate on Perkins... but how many games has he lost in this playoff race? Ugh. Molitor needs to figure out how to use his bullpen better. Too many "WTF" decisions so far. May should have been out there right after Santana.
  4. Phil Hughes just got scratched due to an illness. Tommy Milone will start today instead of Hughes. He'll go up against Kluber. This should be interesting...
  5. Oh, whoops, I was so excited to see the Astros losing that I forgot to check what inning it was.
  6. Meanwhile, Houston is losing again. We gotta get this win and keep on playing like this against Detroit.
  7. We're back at 2 games behind Houston. It isn't quite over yet, folks. All we have to do is tie up with Houston and we have a chance.
  8. I'm glad I won't have to tune into the Twins game tonight, thanks to the score so far. All my focus will be on the Vikes in a little bit. Don't blow this lead, Twins! I can't pay attention to two games at once!
  9. Yes, I would definitely look into a trade. It would be very prudent of the Twins to give Washington a call.
  10. This just in: Escobar is just 7 points away from being the team leader in batting average - and if you don't count Sano, he's tied for the lead with Rosario. (!!!!)
  11. Eddie Escobar has put the team on his back and he's carrying it. This is fun to watch.
  12. What's the cool Oregon Trail/Joe Mauer on T-Rex all about? It looks amazing, but why does it exist?
  13. They're both playing SS, both playing 9th, both named Escobar... Coincidence? I think NOT!
  14. I bet we both typed it in at the same time. You know what they say, geniuses think alike!
  15. So much for Chris Sale being elite. Seems like he's good against everyone except for the Twins.
  16. Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino Source confirms: No call-up for ROC RHP Jose Berrios, at least for now. Has 1 start left for Red Wings. Ugh.
  17. Interesting. Derek Wetmore of 1500 ESPN thinks that Danny Santana will not get called up. If I were in charge, I'd take Fryer, Vargas, Kepler, Tonkin, Achter, Berrios, and either Meyer/Darnell.
  18. What is there to lose? First off, service time. However, Walker is eligible for the rule-5 draft next season so we'll need to add him to the 40 man roster regardless. However, I actually don't think Walker would help our pinch hitting. Reasons why: 1: I know we've all heard this many times, but ABW strikes out a TON. He still needs seasoning and time to develop. He looks like a guy who will need [some] time at AAA. 2: Pinch hitting opportunities happen late in the game. Who pitches during the late innings? Relievers. And you know what most relievers are good at doing? Striking people out. ABW isn't ready to face major league relievers yet. 3: The Twins trust veteran players. They aren't going to trust ABW late in a game they need to win. I don't necessarily agree, but I think that's what the Twins Management would think. If the Twins want to improve their pinch-hitting, then get Vargas up here. He's been hitting better of late.
  19. Bases loaded, no outs. I'd usually expect the Twins to score 0 runs here, but I think we'll hit in a couple...
  20. Nunez! The guy who we all wanted to see at 3B! Ha! Who needs Sano when you have Nunez?
