  1. I like the moves made in the infield. Definitely think they are lacking pitching depth both in the rotation and bullpen and that concerns me. I think this years team will be much different in style. We will see if they are better.
  2. I hope they are not done. They need another bullpen arm and a starter if they want to contend. Even with that there will be plenty of opportunities for the young players.
  3. Yep and my comment still stands. Nobody doubts that he can hit it over the fence by swinging from the heels and running into some cookies and also striking out 40% of the time
  4. Another article giving Sano cover from the fact that he has not improved at all from his rookie year. If anything he is worse. He runs into 30 cookies a year by completely selling out at the plate. It’s just not that productive for the team.
  5. I believe in Garver mainly because he has an excellent swing Compact with no real holes.
  6. I would be shocked if Lewis is our starting SS next year. He has to develop on both sides of the ball before he is a big league SS
  7. I love Balozovic. The rest meh. Cavaco shouldn’t be anywhere near a top ten list.
  8. Since you have upgraded massively in the middle infield the second utility spot could go to Gordon.
  9. Love it. Finally a real shortstop and I think Polanco can be a plus defender at second. Much better scenario compared to signing some sub par utility guy.
  10. Disagree. Center field is important but great shortstops are the most valuable position players. And this is assuming he will hit at this level
  11. If Lewis can’t stick at SS then he isn’t nearly as valuable. I also worry that he won’t hit in the majors with that swing.
  12. You can’t hang on to players forever. Sometimes you have to decide. The biggest change is his body. He was skinny with the Twins and didn’t throw hard. Now he looks like a linebacker and throws hard.
  13. I think it is important to remember that Johan had no trade or limited trade clause that really tied the Twins hands.
  14. Cory Provus who I love will be my best friend this summer.
  15. I think Cleveland is being smart. They know they would have a hard time contending this year so why lose a ton of money trying with the possibility of few / no fans. They will have a clean slate to start building again with low payroll and plenty of young players.
  16. I can’t help but think some teams are going reduce risk as much as possible for this season. I mean dumping any salary possible and not signing free agents. Lose as little money as possible this year and jump back into the game next year. The early signings might end up being huge overpays by spring training
  17. I like the front office and really like Wes Johnson who has done some good work with existing pitchers. However there is zero evidence that Falvine are some sort of pitching whisperers. This theme reminds me of stuff coming out of Washington DC. If it gets repeated often enough it becomes fact. There best pitching work has been to grab existing veterans such as Pineda etc.
