  1. Sorry guys. Sano has zero trade value unless the Twins pay the rest of his salary for the remainder of the season. How much would you give up in trade forSano?
  2. I believe there is in game monitoring of all the Statcast data. Could it be this data is used to determine when to pull a pitcher?
  3. I have no idea but that narrative gets repeated often. This should be something that can be nailed down without grey areas. I think they should allow pitchers to try and take on the 3rd time but have someone getting ready and be ready to make a move at the first sign of trouble.
  4. Winder and Canterino are likely on an innings limit due to injury history so I see no downside to letting them get their 80 innings in the pen as long relievers they still can prepare for starting going in to next spring.
  5. I agree with this. The exception I would make is that we have a lot of people that play 2nd or 3rd some of them quite valuable. If we can deal a couple of these guys for bullpen help I would do it for sure.
  6. More sloppy baseball. This is getting damn frustrating. If I’m Rocco guys are gonna start to sit if they can’t quit making mistakes
  7. This just in……Lindbergh baby kidnapped….
  8. More sloppy baseball. The Twins have to clean it up if they are going to beat good teams when it counts.
  9. More sloppy baseball. The lost fly ball ends up costing them a chance to win the game. This crap is happening way too frequently.
  10. I strongly dislike veteran reclamation projects as an acquisition strategy but Archer is working out quite. And he seems to be getting better each time out. At this rate they could get 130 innings out of the guy which would be huge. Plus he seems like a really good dude. Even Bundy has contributed. I mean he has really stunk in some games but he has thrown several good games making him a pretty typical #5 starter.
  11. He should get the full 20 day rehab to work on his swing.
  12. It’s a really long season. Yes the bullpen is frustrating but they have the ability to do something about it. I think they need to tighten up their play. Way too many sloppy plays in the field and on the base paths the last few weeks. I’m not generally a guy that dings Rocco but his teams are not super solid in the fundamentals of the game.
  13. I’m still calling BS. Umpires are trained to call pitches where they cross the plate. The only way you can know if a catcher stole a strike is if you can tap into the umpires brain on that particular pitch. Otherwise everyone is just speculating.
  14. I respectfully disagree with the idea he is good at blocking balls. If they are in front of him yes but he has no lateral movement due to his stance. Anything lateral and he is poor.
  15. How do we know that Jeffers had anything to do with it being called a strike? The box the umps get graded on is not the same as TV or MLB game day. Maybe the ump made a bad call and it had nothing to do with Jeffers framing. I’m not saying that the way catchers receive the ball doesn’t matter but when people quantify it so precisely it’s just BS. There isn’t a way to know for sure.
  16. Respectfully those trade offers will not even be considered. Martin is worth something (less than when we acquired him) but Sabato Sands and Strotman are not going to be of interest for any reasonable pitching.
  17. I like his bat but he surely is a member of the anvil chorus. If the Twins think this is what he is with the glove I would trade him. If they feel he has the ability to improve at third I would hang onto him but get him to St Paul so he can work on his fielding and be ready to start at 3 rd next year.
  18. In defense of our catchers they’ve been instructed to squat in such a way that makes it next to impossible to throw a runner out.
  19. How about we just take a birds eye view of this year. Pitching rotation blown apart by injuries and Covid and the lineup unsettled as well and they have a winning record and are in first place. That tells me he is probably doing a good job. I don’t agree with everything he does but he seems to be a really good person and highly intelligent. It’s also hard to know what he decides and what the FO decides.
  20. Agree on all three especially Jax. After watching him last year this year is a very pleasant outcome.
  21. OMG. There are dozens of guys like this moving around almost daily. Non story.
  22. I watch nearly every Twins game. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out a player sometimes it’s not. Since you seem skeptical of my opinion you could read scouting reports and bear in mind these were when he was at AA OR AAA.
  23. This. Plus Miranda is not good in the field. Barely passable at third and lost at first. He needs to go to St Paul and learn to play 3rd base. Better yet trade high on this guy.
  24. Always take a win! I do hope the Twins clean it up soon. They have been making too many fundamental mistakes. Taking a step back they have come through a horrible injury patch quite nicely and now we get two good starters back. Oh and Miranda needs to focus on third base wherever that may be.
