None of them took over a team that went 5-4 in the big ten, and 9 wins overall the year before. Fleck took over an established solid team, and has turned it to **** so far. Maybe Claeys wouldn't have done any better, but coming within a yard of beating Michigan to getting stomped by a 0-6 Nebraska team is notable. Fleck did not inherit a mess like Kill, or Mason. Fleck also has a new stadium, new facilities, a great economy for opportunities post college. The more I think about it, the less excuses he has. The season is not over, so I'm not judging until it is, but... I don't like what I see and neither should anyone else.
