    Right... The problem is they obvious weren't found criminally liable, so why are they receiving a suspension? Because they had sex? I obviously don't know the details, but I find it troubling these players are seemingly being held to a higher standard than everyone else. I believe the official language they are going with is sexual misconduct. I don't agree with it and hope the players sue the university.

    This doesn't look like it should stick. They have a video of the sex with the girl, and she is not objecting to any of it. I don't think it's fair to hold football players to some kind of standard above the student population. It would be one thing if the girl was so wasted she couldn't talk or had she been passed out. It doesn't sound like this is the case.

    So how do stats work? I thought taking a data set and doing some analysis on it would count as doing stats, but I only have a B.S. in Mathematics. Plus, I thought we already established the stats don't show they did a good job. Rather, they were average at finding mlb talent and poor at finding impact players. Far from good.

    Why are you giving the twins credit for George Springer also? That isn't really representative of the actual players drafted. The common complaint, which you proved, is the twins haven't drafted high impact players. Combine that with average results of players that reach the majors, very low success of free agents, not much success with intl free agents.... and you see how this team is so bad.

    He did get green to come back. Winfield is a dann good get, Smith and Brooks are top notch, the center from Texas is pretty solid. So it could be worse. I was hoping for a new coach, but that isn't always the best choice. See how next year plays out with a new qb. Kill really put him in a bad spot at the position. He isn't faultles. Overall this team was solid. Say what you want about the losses, but beating the teams you're supposed to beat is easier said than done. The big ten is the top power 5 conference this year, and might be for a while. If Claus is smart he'll find a way to start exploiting the collapse of programs in Texas Oregon Kansas California ect. They need to start pulling better talent to seriously compete going forward.

    I can't wait for a new qb next year. Biggest reason to rip Tracy this year is sticking with leidner. Problem is pulling green or Croft out of red shirt. Once you do, you pretty much have to sit Mitch the rest if the year. That is a big decision to sit your leader and 5th year senior. Luckily, this team is young. The defense and offensive line has been solid. The running backs are a couple of the best in the country. I would be surprised if this team isn't better next year.

    Really unfortunate. Hopefully next year they put a qb out there that can actually be the difference maker in a positive way. Leidner seems like a great guy and I have no doubt he will succeed after college.

    Worst rule in college football. The nfl has done a pretty rational job of implementing, but college has been terrible. This team is 7-2, how things would be different with competent qb play. Luckily, the tram is still young. I don't really care if Claus is still the coach, they still need talent. The only way to get talent is by being good. Nebraska just got hammered by Ohio state, and i feel the gophers match up well with them. Again, the gophers could find themselves in a conference deciding game with Wisconsin. While the losses shouldn't have happened, I'd say this team is playing ok this year. It's a shame there isn't a better qb on the roster, bit Mitch is gritty and has a lot of wins to his credit. Next weekend will be yuge.

    He is terrible. It's there really anything else to say? You can only spin it so many ways. I really wish nelson wasn't such an ass hat, we could have watched a potentially mediocre career. The qb performance at the u of m has been embarrassing.

    Just saw that Rhoda is now starting Saturday. Is it fair to ask if this team is going to win a single conference game? Rutgers, Illinois, Purdue should all be easy pickings.... but so should have Iowa been. Regardless, this team will be lucky to make a bowl game. What will it take to get a new coach though? And will the gophers finally hire a big name to at least try and win?

    I'm in agreement that officiating was not very good or consistent. That said, i don't have a problem with that last play not being pi. At real speed i thought it was, but the replay showed a different story. It was a borderline call imo. I find out pointless to worry about that call because that isn't the reason they lost the game. Another big ten loss and the division title how is over. From the gamelans so far, they are going to struggle to win many more games. The talent is there though. Brooks is a fantastic back and the defense has had some good moments. If there is a coaching change at the end of the year, the rebuild shouldn't take all that long.

    Wow. Out of all the qbs you listed, the highest grade i would give any is average. I would take every single one of the non Minnesota qbs over leidner. I'd include gray, Weber, and Abdul khaliq. Your bar is set way too low for an average qb. Most big time teams don't settle on a guy like leidner just because he has the most experience. I'm just hoping the future is bright with green.

    Name a p5 qb he is better than. No possible way he is an above average p5 qb. He's easily a below average qb regardless of conference, and one of the worst p5 qbs. It's not even close.

    Probably trying to redshirt him. Not sure it matters with green on the roster. Hopefully he is able to step in next year. I have a hard time believing any good high school qb in Texas wouldn't outplay leidner.

    Ball was thrown absolutely terrible. Brutal effort by the play calling and execution from leidner. After watching that final drive it is very evident if leidner actually gives these guys balls to catch the passing game would be just fine. Those receivers aren't superstars, but if the qb doesn't even give them a chance they are an easy excuse. Embarrassing game. At least the defense id's looking better.

    Today was a joke. Gophers are a better team. Leidner was bad. Coaching was pretty bad. At least there is a little talent on this team. I was half waiting for leidner to get pulled. Between bad reads, bad throws, and inability to beat a stacked box.... hard to watch. I thought the freshman receivers were supposed to be something, disappointed so far. Plus, why the **** did Brooks not get more touches? I don't get it. Iowa next week better be a win, they are terrible. Ahhh, so frustrated with this game, so many frustrating things, not worth it.

    If they can't trade dozier, then absolutely keep him at ss. Let him play every game and get more comfortable. He is the heir to lead off. Good average, takes good at bats, good obp. At ss his defense might only ever be average, but that is why the twins have Nick Gordon coming. If the twins keep dozier, Gordon will be ready about the time his contract is up. Polanco can hold it down until then.

    Whoa whoa whoa. You can't assume parker is right. He needs videos and spray charts for any hypothesis. If you don't force him, he might get lazy like the rest of the baseball publications. I say prove it parker, you theory dwelling meandorer! Haha.

    Lucky to win 6 games? This was the first game for many of these guys playing together. Both sides of the ball need to get better, but each showed flashes of being a pretty good team. The ceiling of this team may be limited by the lack of a deadly passing game, but they will make bowl. A lot of the mistakes were made by young guys who will get better. They really need someone to emerge at receiver. Wolitarsky is ok, but he isn't an explosive game changer. To take the next step, thus team needs that guy. Better qb play wouldn't hurt either.

    Mitch played ok. The first half was terrible, the second was ok. He is noticeably quicker. He basically won the game himself the last drive, getting first downs on the ground and some nice throws. The new targeting rule is terrible. Gophers lost 3 starters because of it. Regardless of osu record last year, they're not a terrible team. They're still in a major conference, and the qb is solid.

    Sloppy game. Gophers have some talent this year, might make a run at it. The 3 defensive targeting were very dumb plays. Leidner with only 36 yards in the first half is an embarrassment. He is the reason they won though. This was a good game to get a real feel for what they have. The tune up games should really help. They need to come out passing and find a groove against the smaller schools. The running game will be fine against anybody. Defense showed some flashes, need more consistency.
