    Yesterday, the Twins and veteran catcher Christian Vasquez agreed to a 3-year contract. Vasquez will be guaranteed $30M over the course of the contract, pending a physical. The Twins will look to Vasquez for consistency in offensive production and plus defense behind the plate (both of which have plagued the team the past two years)

    Justin Verlander has agreed to a two-year, $86M deal with the New York Mets. This deal involves a third-year player option for 2025, worth $35M. Verlander is guaranteed $86M for his first two years with a no-trade clause.     The Chicago White Sox and RHP Mike Clevinger have reportedly agreed on a one-year, $8M deal. Per Scott Merkin of MLB.com, this deal also has a mutual 2024 option worth $12M, with a $4M buyout. Clevinger underwent Tommy John Surgery, causing him to miss the entirety of 2021.     Even after he took that hit from the Jets’ defender, he slinged the ball 60 yards a couple plays after. Rapaport said that he’s unlikely to miss the game. He is undergoing further testing though.
