  1. Possibly, but the Twins finished 77-85, well out of the playoff picture, with Correa last year. Falvine still need to add to the team for them to contend for a postseason slot.
  2. That is a positive...for Bauer, which in turn makes it a negative for the rest of us.
  3. Adios Green Bay Packers! No playoffs for you!
  4. How many times this season has Kirby Joseph picked off Aaron Rodgers?
  5. If the Packers make the playoffs, it will be fun watching the 49ers beat the living **** out of them.
  6. What even is the point of bringing in Wacha? He's a mediocre pitcher on the wrong side of 30. Adding such a pitcher to "eat innings" will not improve the Twins in any way, shape, or form. If Falvine plan on employing this strategy every offseason, they can respectfully take a hike. I want a team that makes the playoffs consistently. Is that not what Falvine promised from the beginning? We've missed the playoffs in two consecutive seasons with this strategy. Employing this strategy for a third consecutive offseason is unlikely to yield different results.
  7. It would be something if they can sign Correa. I hope they can do it. Of course, if it turns out that they had the opportunity to do it and they miss it, I will calling for Falvine’s jobs.
  8. McCutchen is 36 and declining. He will not improve our roster as it stands right now.
  9. You'd be surprised how bad the Bears' defensive front is. The Bills literally ran for 250 yards against them.
  10. If they do indeed aspire to win in 2023, the Twins' roster (as it stands at this point in time) is well short of that of a World Series team. I couldn't fathom Falvine being able to add near enough talent to make the roster World Series-quality. All of the major free agents are gone, and the Twins have a below average farm system to acquire talent through trade. At this point, a rebuild appears to be the only way forward for our Twins, assuming they aspire to win a World Series. And if they choose to rebuild, Falvey and Levine do not deserve to take part in said rebuild.
  11. Falvine need to fully commit to either winning now (in 2023) or rebuilding for the future. Signing Wacha would be pointless in regard to the former, and inhibitory in regard to the latter. Wacha is nothing more than an average pitcher on the wrong side of 30. He will not improve the rotation in any way.
  12. There are no words to describe how much I hate losing to these ****ers.
  13. They’ve literally outgained us 168-138. 30 yards. 24 point lead.
  14. I guess the offense decided not to show up today
  15. Throughout the span of four years, the Twins won 300 of their 546 games. Over the course of 162 games, the Twins would win ~89 games at that pace. If you were to ask a Twins fan the following question: "Do you think your team should consider cleaning house?" on the date September 28th, 2020, they would likely chuckle and deny such a thought. But then fast forward to December 30th, 2022, and the answer would likely be different. Over the past two calendar years the Twins have lost 174 of their 324 games, while failing to qualify for the postseason during that stretch. As a result, many in the North Star state have clamored for the dynamic duo to be axed from their throne. Some have run out of patience for the Scroogelike executives. Others have demonstrated great stoicism with these two but still have finite patience. If the Twins are to miss the postseason for a third consecutive season, it is highly likely that a lionsshare of Twins fans throughout the nation will be clamoring for Falvine to be given the pink slip. I ask all of you to answer the following question: "What must your favorite baseball team accomplish in 2023 in order to prolong Falvine's job security?" While I am not calling for Falvine's jobs yet, the minimum I expect is that their club win the American League Central Division. If by November 1st, 2023 this has not occurred, I will be among those clamoring for the sacking of Falvine. I believe this is a reasonable expectation, given the lack of competition within the division. While the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers possess intriguing young talent, neither are likely to dominate in 2023. While the Chicago White Sox own a large sum of talent, they will forever be held back by their antediluvian manager. Although the Cleveland Guardians remain a contender for the division, they are hardly a juggernaut. While Falvey and Levine will be unable to construct a juggernaut over the next 90 days, I believe they are capable of constructing a team that is capable of winning 90 games and the American League Central Division.
  16. Why again did we roll over for them when they came to Minneapolis?
  17. That's probably the ceiling for Joey Gallo, which is his 2021 campaign. That being said, it's unlikely he touches this ceiling, given that he's been terrible in two of the past three seasons.
  18. Three concussions in one year. There’s gotta be some shady stuff going on within that organization. Because of that, in combination with the way Tyreek Hill defamed the Chiefs after being traded, I hope the Dolphins miss the playoffs.
  19. At this point in his career, Kepler is who he is: a defensive asset, albeit an offensive liability. His 2019 season is clearly the outlier, and it’s highly unlikely he will produce a such a season in the future. A team that is woeful defensively in center-right field region but offensively potent would be best suited to Kepler’s services. According to the trade simulator, Kepler has a value of 7.6. He would likely bring a return that sums to approximately that value (one or two mid-level prospects)
