  1. I disagree. Here are his 2021 percentile rankings: He does excel at not walking hitters and he’s above average at striking them out, but he’s poor at limiting hard contact and his xwOBA and xERA are about league average.
  2. As demonstrated by his -0.5 WAR, 56 wRC+, -3.21 WPA...
  3. Say what you want about the Twins’ FO, but they certainly aren’t boring.
  4. If those values are correct, that’s highway robbery.
  5. Paddack had a good rookie season in 2019 but a rough 2020-2021. I like the trade, though. He’s young as you said and I could see him improving in MN.
  6. I think if Buxton is able to stay healthy (as in play even 100-120 games) he should definitely be able to hit 30+ homers. He hit 19 in 60 games last year. Correa probably won’t hit .280. Correa, if healthy, should be able to hit 25+ homers. However, health is a question for him. Sano should be able hit 30+ homers. Sonny Gray is the ace of the staff, and he’s better than Berrios. If he stays healthy, 10 wins shouldn’t be a problem at all. I’ll take the over on the Twins’ 81.5 wins, because I’m a homer.
  7. Given that we’re four days from Opening Day, I would assume so. Of course I could be wrong, but I doubt we’ll see any more moves made.
  8. I’m not sure. I checked MN Twins Talk and I couldn’t find a poll for this.
  9. Key Additions • RHP Sonny Gray • RHP Dylan Bundy • RHP Chris Archer • RHP Joe Smith • SS Carlos Correa Key Departures • C Mitch Garver • SS Andrelton Simmons • RHP Michael Pineda • RHP Alex Colome • 3B Josh Donaldson • C Ben Rortvedt Resignings • CF Byron Buxton • LHP Taylor Rogers
  10. He needs to play 130+ games and produce at the level that he did at the beginning of last year.
  11. I think Ryan will be a top of the rotation arm one day, but I’m not sure if he’ll be this year. I hope so.
  12. I’m quite impressed by the Gray and Correa moves. They’ll still need production from the farm if they want to make the playoffs. If they’re in contention in July, they can make more moves to make the playoffs.
  13. The Twins, in the last week of the offseason, made several big moves, such as the trade for Sonny Gray and signing Carlos Correa. There has been some speculation around the Twins trading for Frankie Montas and Sean Manaea. Opening day is roughly a week away, and while we have been looking for one of those moves to be made, that bears the question, “Will it actually happen?” I’m really not sure what to think about this.
  14. I wouldn’t be against signing Cueto as a #5 starter, but don’t sign multiple #5 starters. It didn’t go so well for the Twins last year when they did that.
  15. Yeah, this is a bit late. But who cares, right? The Twins made a huge splash yesterday signing Carlos Correa, arguably the best SS on the market going into the offseason, to a 3-year, $105.3M deal, with several opt-outs. What do you think of the signing?
  16. I would never give Royce Lewis or Arraez to Cleveland. Ever.
