  1. Great article. I would like to see MLB stop playing games with the baseball. I hope they find one this year they can stick with and also not change it for the post season.
  2. Patience, Grasshopper, Patience. Lots of time yet for trades if we go that route. Otherwise it may be time to find out what the prospects are capable of. Spring training cannot come soon enough.
  3. The plan of Falvine's is clearly to build from within as much as possible. Brent Rooker, and a host of others deserve a chance in spring training to see if they can handle the first base job, or someone else in the system can play 3rd base and move Sano to 1st. A deal may be possible, but I am fine with not breaking the bank to sign a 34 y.o. 3rd baseman for 25 mil a year for 4 years.
  4. Interesting article. I think the Archer trade has the most promise. The others would not be done by this FO as they are setting things up for internal candidates to be the rotation of the future. No takers for Eddie??
  5. The more I read Twins Daily, the more intrigued I am with the minor league prospects and the development process. Thank you so much for your minor league coverage. This year I will subscribe to MILB TV and watch 1-2 games a week of AAA and/ AA ball. Should be fun.
  6. Great article. I doubt Falvine give any consideration to what fandom thinks they want. The plan is clearly to try and develop pitching internally. Your article points out an approach that might buy us some time.
  7. I continue to remind your faithful readers of this fact. Cleveland started 3 pitchers last summer from the 2016 draft and they all were good to great. That is the direction Falvine are going. To paraphrase Mick Mulvaney," Live with it."
  8. I believe that we are likely to see at least one significant trade this off season as Falvine cash in some of our prospect chips and /or move on from Eddie Rosario.
  9. Unless we trade some of our better outfield prospects I don't see us going outside the organization for more outfielders.
  10. Smeltzer looks to me like the 2nd coming of Tommy Milone. Graterol has the most upside and may be ready by midsummer. Thorpe looks mediocre to me as a starter. Waiting to see what kind of a season Jordan B has as he may be our best starting prospect in the minors.
  11. I still of watching Cleveland in the late summer when their pitching staff included 3 home grown starters from the 2016 draft. All of them were effective.I think building in house may be the way to go.
  12. I am thinking of getting a subscription to MILB TV in 2020 so I can watch some of our prospects. Any thoghts about MILB TV as a service?
  13. I am guessing that the FO thoughts are similar to that of Tampa's last year. He's a good player but we can get quality production at less cost from within the system and using the savings for other needs.Sano could be the new first baseman and then we could put the cheapy at 3rd.
  14. I find it exciting that the Twins farm system has so many quality prospects that makes for difficult decisions. Falvine are really building something special.
  15. I don't see the Twins doing any contracts longer than what they gave Polanco and Kepler. They are not going to throw hundreds of millions at any one player and certainly not for 7 or 8 years. Building through the farm system along with some smart free agent signings and strategic trades is the prescription for the future. We are more of a Tampa and Oakland model than anything else.
  16. Interesting article. Can the Marlins really be so down on their chances that they will trade away most of their good pitching. If that is true, I wonder what Captain Jeter is smoking.
  17. As Bob Dylan said, the times they are a changing. Standing pat is almost always a recipe for failure.
