    How sick is this going to be if the Gibson we saw at the end of last year is the Gibson we see all year? 10 game SSS to be sure, but it *did* correlate directly with a change from firing sinkers all day to many more 4 seamers up in the zone. Barring injury, guys like Romero and Gonsalves are going to have to force their way into the show. Instead of forcing their way in on the likes of Turley and Santiago.

    He was one of the best offensive catchers to ever play the game. At most I’ll grant you that “offensive juggernaut” _might_ need to be qualified with “as a catcher” But that’s as far as I’d go.

    Right now I just want Yu to sign with *anybody* and open up the logjam that is the freezing ice box stove season of MLB. Obviously prefer he signs with us, but this no-news-cycle is growing old.

    I think if I was moving to a foreign country, say China, and there were 30 chinese employers spread across the entire land mass of China, who were willing to pay me large sums of money (even if it's small relative to what he'd get on the open market) to come work for them, I would probably be looking for as much detail as I can. As somebody who's never been to China, I would certainly love to hear about the facilities I'd be working in, the city & surrounding areas, what the onboarding process would look like. None of that seems out of line.

    I just have a feeling. The twins are gonna jump out early and put up a lot of runs. The twins bullpen will make it interesting, but I'm feeling like a 10-8 ballgame. 11-8 if Mauer's double gets rightly called fair this year.

    Pretty much sealed at least a game 163 last night. I really don't see a 8-1 or 9-0 stretch. Even 7-2 is unlikely - but if TEX or ANA rattle off a 7-2 stretch we just have to go 3-5 for a 163. I'm pretty sure a random selection of TDers could win 3 of the 5 remaining games against the Tigers (they are 4-18 this month).

    In addition to the Twins having a really soft schedule to close out the season, a lot of the teams that are chasing us play each other. So the number of teams realistically in the race will dwindle just on account of - only one team can win those games. 21 to go, 2 game lead. After losing 103 last year (nevermind the heater we ended the season on - winning 3 of 4!!). Crazy game, this baseballing is.

    I legitimately LOL / snorted. And yes, snot shot out of my nose. While sitting in a starbucks. And I'm not even ashamed, because that was awesome.

    A rotation of Santana, Berrios, Garcia, Meija, Gibson could be alright. A backend bullpen of Duffey, Curtiss, Romero, Hildenberger, Rogers, Kintzler could be alright. The offense, as is, with Buxton elevating his game slightly, could be alright. Throw in another, cost controlled starter for Gibson, and you just might talk me in to the possibility of the Twins making a run.

    Buxton pulled a buxton by windmilling his arms to stave off a fall while collecting his two bagger. In the process he ran mega funny and seemed to have tweaked something. Just run at normal speed bruh. You were in easy with 2.
