  1. I had them pegged at no better than 79 wins. I'm now at 90+ through 24 games, which really isn't a lot. But two things have become apparent. The starting pitching has been much more solid than I had anticipated, the bullpen has actually done a pretty decent job, and the division is much worse than I figured that it would be. The obvious disclaimer that I keep hinting at is that we're only 24 games in. There is still plenty of time for injuries to really take their toll on the pitching, but even the holes that have crept up have been filled pretty well. There is also still plenty of time for the White Sox to quit suffering from a Twins 2021-esque season and really make a run.
  2. The calendar has turned to May, @Vanimal46 is calling me out, and the Twins are winning. What more could be asked for? So, now the team is 24 games into the season and have a 4 game lead in the division. How has your outlook on wins changed, if at all? This is a follow-up poll from one conducted just before the season started. If you posted there, I'm interested to see if you changed your mind, and why.
  3. Ha! Still plenty of time to mess things up, but they should exceed that now. I'm happy to admit that at this point, I appear to have been wrong.
  4. All you have to do is keep leverage away from Duffey and he does just fine.
  5. I tried a different approach and asked for it upfront instead of complaining about it after the fact.
  6. That'll happen. Not going to have it every night. He did a pretty decent job of minimizing the damage though.
  7. Ya know, is it too much to ask to show some ruthlessness and not give the run back right away? Can they at least wait an inning?
  8. Agreed. Despite his struggles at the plate, he's got 13 RBI. I believe that leads the team.
  9. If not longer. Sounds like it depends largely on which procedure is done.
  10. Looks like Sano is to have surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. Edit: Just an update on Sano's surgery.
  11. I do think that a pitcher will be the first called up, but I could see a scenario where Correa is healthy and Lewis is knocking down the door to be brought up and then Buxton gets hurt. I could see them calling Lewis up to fill in. I'm not sure that I'm necessarily excited about that, but if he's really beating down the door to be called up, I think it makes some sense.
  12. Agreed. Ryan has impressed even over last season. By default, I meant that we haven't seen a lot of them yet. SSS still applies to them, in my view, much more than it does for Ryan.
  13. Joe Ryan, almost by default since he's pitched the most in the big leagues, but I do think he's been the most impressive all things considered.
