When looking at this against the league as a whole, I take that they're extremely inconsistent. As @Richie the Rally Goat mentioned, they either score a lot of none. That's bothersome over the long haul, particularly in the playoffs when they'll be going against top pitchers more frequently. Their reliance on the long ball is the problem, in my view. That produces a feast or famine result, always has.
I'm hoping that since the league as a whole has lower run totals, that we'll start to see a transition back to a more balanced offensive attach league wide. Eliminating the shift will help that, but the all or nothing mentality is problematic in my view.
