  1. Worth noting that Gray is doing well to save the own for tomorrow. Good veteran outing for him thus far.
  2. If he's quiet, I don't think we should awaken him when things are going so well.
  3. That's usually what happens when they actually have a productive day. Getting more than the top 1/3 of the lineup is key for any team, but seemingly particularly this one.
  4. Yeah, hard to blame him. I hate the way it's playing out, but hard to blame him.
  5. Someone that was in the game as long as he was, without wipeout stuff, might be very good in a role like that.
  6. Agreed. I don't think Cleveland can continue the pace that they're on either. I could be absolutely wrong there, but their current run doesn't seem sustainable to me.
  7. When looking at this against the league as a whole, I take that they're extremely inconsistent. As @Richie the Rally Goat mentioned, they either score a lot of none. That's bothersome over the long haul, particularly in the playoffs when they'll be going against top pitchers more frequently. Their reliance on the long ball is the problem, in my view. That produces a feast or famine result, always has. I'm hoping that since the league as a whole has lower run totals, that we'll start to see a transition back to a more balanced offensive attach league wide. Eliminating the shift will help that, but the all or nothing mentality is problematic in my view.
  8. I think ultimately it might boil down to how the rest of the pitching staff shakes out. I think both have the resume to make the squad, so it might come down to the need of reliever vs starter.
  9. I suppose that it's possible that he really didn't like the pro game with the egos and bigger grind, but I'm with everyone else saying WTF...
  10. Nice series win. Good momentum heading into a 5-game Cleveland set. Even a healthy-ish looking Buxton makes this team so much better. I'm glad the extra days off instead of an IL stint appears to be working in the teams' favor.
  11. No, so you can bring me pie and we can all partake together instead of constantly taunting me with all of this pie talk!
  12. Nice bounce back game after yesterday's debacle. Now let's get another W tomorrow and head into the Cleveland series with some momentum.
  13. That's not a video link to a shoe commercial, is it?
  14. You never would have found me out if it wasn't for those darned kids!
  15. Preferably never again. But, that's admittedly wishful thinking.
