    Very winnable game lost on a couple of fronts. This team simply can't manufacture runs on a even a semi-consistent basis. As often as the pitching staff holds teams to 3 runs or fewer, this team wastes many of them by their inability to get runners across the plate without the benefit of the long ball. And the bullpen has to hold leads. It's so frustrating to see this team squander opportunities.

    Tonight is another game. A split isn't the worst thing ever. The lead in the division will be right where it started when the day began.
