  1. I see that you've spent a lot of time studying my golf game! Not sure if I should be flattered, frightened, or inclined to ask you for swing tips!
  2. I was reading about this earlier this morning and was confounded by the same thing. I'm still not sure that I completely understand. Baseball wackiness at its finest.
  3. All of you that don't want Pagan to pitch the 9th finally get your wish and you're still not happy! You guys are impossible to please!
  4. Perhaps the two teams can work out a trade since Pagan is clearly working for the enemy anyway!
  5. I don't think a move like this makes any sense from the Twins perspective. Injuries have helped the shuffle, but trying to get guys ABs isn't an easy proposition as it is. With all of the corner type players on the active roster, there's only so many places that they can play. And those are their primary DH candidates. So, adding one more that doesn't field at all only makes the problem worse. And as erratic as this offense is, hitting isn't going to be my primary focus. Pitching has to take priority. If some of those corner types get dealt in order to acquire pitching, then maybe this makes some sense. But as the roster stands now, not so much.
  6. I'm hoping for at least half an Alcala, but that doesn't fit into the question posed by the OP. And even then, that might just be gravy. Not sure how much he'll be able to be relied upon either. Same with Maeda.
  7. Agreed. Some luck involved that Celestino's spot came up, but that was a smart managerial move.
  8. The good news is that that is probably it for Quantrill. Not likely to start an inning at 97 pitches.
  9. Haha! Basically this entire thread didn't age very well. Got a ballgame, folks.
  10. Aren't the players on the regular season squad also on the playoff squad? They don't totally reroster the team. Why would it not be on the FO to build a team that can compete in the regular season AND the postseason?
  11. Right. And yet its still astounding to actually see statistically.
  12. Isn't every move a manager makes intended to change the outcome of a game in his team's favor? Isn't that the point of the move?
  13. Manager would have some say in it since they're the one that has to work and coordinate with them on a daily basis. Being on the same page and work well together is important.
  14. Yes, it's hard to see Bundy losing his spot if he continues to pitch as well as he has the last few outings. Same with Archer. That question will likely work itself out somehow, it just remains to be seen.
  15. They did on the radio broadcast. I mentioned in the game thread that it was hard to believe that 20 is the new mark, yet it's not. It's not even July, so it'll be fun to see where he ends up.
  16. Nice bounce back game after blowing the early game. Great outing by Winder coming back up and I hope to see more of him. Bats did a pretty good job of adding on to the lead despite some more baserunning blunders. No ground lost or gained today. Not a bad thing. Congrats to Buxton for a new career high in HRs. Lots of time to keep adding to that mark! I'm looking for Bundy to keep piling on tomorrow.
