  1. I'd still draft Greene as a SS. He is still a phenom fielding talent and with that cannon, he'd certainly make it at SS. There is NO WAY he doesn't blow out his arm at some point and the success rate of high end prep pitchers is appalling. Whats Falvine's track record on drafting 1st round pitchers? None of the first round pitchers for Texas or Cleveland from the last couple years jumped out at me.
  2. Picking a prep pitcher in the first round feels like the browns drafting a quarterback. I could get on board with this Wright guy.
  3. I'd rather see Wimmers get the chance over this guy. I mean, if the choices are bad or bad, why not go with someone in your own system.
  4. awesome! What site do you use for your stats? Baseball Reference is blocked at work but Twins Daily isn't
  5. Military looks like a manager that wants to have people think he gets advanced stats.. Bullpen moves for the sake of moves just kill me. I hope Santana took himself out of the game because I do not belive in his ability to manage a pitching staff
  6. At the game. Sorta get the reasoning. BUT someone please explain why you wouldn't keep Santana in. 100pitches shutout through 6. He could've done the same **** Duffy did.
  7. Man, I was really worried after that double steal and we had to throw till second. Hughes looked pretty rattled and last year's Twins wouldnt have found a way to come back. They are definitely showing some more poise in close games. Baby steps just getting back to a functional ball club.
  8. Awesome story! The Balans just became my favorite minor leaguers. Let's get those Moldovians together with Kep and keep this euro train rolling! What if Hughes took a 2 year break? Think he could gain some velocity? smh
  9. Hah, whoops missed that. I guess my brain didn't register him as a starter. Nvm on that point, though it would be nice to have speed off the bench. Or any bench..
  10. A right handed DH would have come in handy. And I agree with whoever said we should have pinch run DSan in the ninth. Isn't his speed the one tool that we don't mock and ridicule always?
  11. I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but it doesn't look so good when Sano takes zero reps at 1B in ST and a nonroster invite catcher is starting at first base the seventh game into the season. It reminds me of Terry Ryan planning...
  12. 5-1 Heavyweights coming to town! Watch out Detroit! Let's add to that 19.5 era on Boyd.
  13. Yeah.. But we'll still have a hole a SS every fifth game while our Cy young pitcher takes the mound. I wonder if Greene would mind being backed up at short by DSan!
  14. Do we have anything like sunglasses this year to help raise our expectations?
  15. I'd absolutely take a guy with Granite's profile for a fourth outfielder over a guy like Grossman.
  16. They didn't blink when they gave Santiago arbitration and I don't think they care about saving 6mil at this point, much less paying out the smaller contracts. I don't feel that money is playing into this very strongly.
  17. I guess I always felt (for no provable reason) that Tommy John was a pretty cut and dry decision. If you need it you need it kind of thing. It's the stories of guys rehabbing partial tears and end up burning an extra half season to rehab, instead of getting g the surgery done quicker..
  18. Just unreal it took him till the start of ST to decide on surgery. That's something that should be evaluated way more to see how he is progressing as opposed to just making that decision after months of rehab. Twins always seem so tentative with their injuries.
  19. After his hot start and a couple of national spots on his good eye and approach at the plate, it was a bummer to see Kepler fall off. He had the most interesting backstory and really hope he can make the proper adjustments. I'm cheering for him the hardest, though that night just be my family's German background shining through. Go Kepler!
