  1. Great post! Thanks for doing this. My take: He goes yard all year...breakout year. I'm all in....Why not?
  2. This move should also energize the other Twins players...I bet they will have fun at camp today.
  3. Everyone RELAX! We're gonna sign this guy. All is well.... Hopefully.....
  4. I played catcher in Jr. High and High School. I think I still have something in the tank at 50....I like calling it old man strength. Sign me up please!
  5. Someone had to vote for 90+ wins and so I did. I've picked the correct number of wins twice now on TD. Here's my method to my madness. I think a lot of the younger players and pitchers step up and provide an exciting "where did they come from" moment. Please don't ruin my optimism yet. It's still spring training where hope rings eternal. Reality will be tough enough to endure in June. 92-70 Go Twins!!
  6. Interesting, seems like a great kid. Well thought of too. Can play SS, 3B and even did some catching....I'd be ok having a .280 hitting SS. Hate losing Garver though.
  7. I tendered my sirloin steak last night (sirloin instead of ribeye because of inflation) with a meat cleaver. Does that work with arbitration eligible players too? Does it make them better players??? Things to think about...
  8. Trading him is crazy unless there his a huge return. Think Herschel Walker Vikings/Cowboys crazy.
  9. If that is the case about Lewis, ranking him as our best or second best prospect is depressing...Does Lewis project as a top 200 minor leaguer or top 300? We probably need to change or update the 2022 handbook.
  10. I think Miranda is the real deal. I hope they bring him up next year (like early April). Give this kid a shot! We don't have to jettison any decent players to get him into the "show"...Just get him into the action and see what happens. We need to quickly combine that core group of young players with the veterans in order to launch another WS team.
  11. Thanks for all the posts this year! Great job and very informative!
  12. Totally agree. This isn't just a starting rotation issue its a bullpen issue as well. We need LOTS of arms....Lots and lots of arms.
  13. I kind of agree with the above statement. Rooker is "rooking" hard to play his way out of this lineup. I love it when a minor leaguer like Miranda makes problems for the front office. Instead of joining the free Brittany movement, jump on the free Miranda bandwagon!
  14. Arraez is the real deal. Great instincts batting. There will be numerous batting titles.
  15. All valid points but if we pay him $20 million a year to hit .247 and play in 80 games it's a huge mistake. We don't have enough money to pay him and sign other good athletes. I don't want to cheer Buxton for 80 games and be in the American League Central cellar 20 games behind by June 1st.
  16. Great write up! Thank you. Had to look up this word..."such as a significant stride and trebuchet arm action"... "Trebuchet" Excellent vocabulary Lucas! The Atlantic or ESPN doesn't have this type of talent!
  17. Thanks Nick - great writeup. I think this kid will be a huge star. He just looks like he belongs in the big leagues.
  18. I'm probably more optimistic about 2022 and 2023 than the average fan. We know Garver, Kepler and Sano can hit at the major league level. Maybe it was just a fluke year. If those 3 can start hammering the ball again I think we will be in great shape with the new guys right behind them or playing beside them next year. Hopefully our starting rotation will roll as well with a few of these young arms getting called up.
