    Maeda is closer to Cole than Perez. On the sex case, he happened to be in the same house when he was 19. He wasn't a participant, nor was he charged with a sex crime.

    Agree. Let the market come to us. Before our showdown with the Yankees we a need a #3 and can afford to overpay in prospect capital. Maeda fits perfectly.

    We need Berrios in 2020 and 2021. He's replaceable thereafter. Let's not pretend we didn't know this day may come. Extending Buxton at some point in time, is much more important.

    When we drafted Duffey he was a college closer, and not rated anywhere near as highly as Enlow coming out of high school. Granted they both have breaking pitches. Excellent move by the FO to go well over slot on him.

    Maybe I'm the only one who noticed, but we don't do the opener thing. The Rays did it out of desperation due to the lack of starters. We have them coming out of our ears.

    A mid-market team needs to be in the hunt to improve every day. The trade market is just starting to heat up. No doubt the list of sellers will expand at the deadline, but IMO the first #3 we can obtain and the heavy lifting is done.

    I would wait on Price and go 3 years for 36M. At some point in time Boston will be forced to shed payroll. I can't see our benevolent owner going 3 for 48M.

    It's actually much more like reading the 2 Walker threads a couple days ago. Seems the 1 inning he pitched in the final game of season was intended as a farewell tour. He can't pass a physical. No way he'll get a nice bump like Perez.
