  1. Just doing my job! Craig is going to be excited tonight... Agents of SHIELD Season 4 premieres at 9:00 PM CT. Something called "This is Us" debuts on NBC.
  2. RB's birthday is so special that the morning news team went to interview him this morning! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAUn3A4QtaI
  3. Watched the pilot of "The Good Place" last night. It's actually good so far! I may be biased because I'm a fan of Bell and Danson... But I have hopes that this show can last. The creator of this show also worked on "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation", 2 of my favorite comedies on TV.
  4. Yeah, one or more of these shows won't last 6 episodes. As much as I like Danson and Bell, that show doesn't look great. Hope to be wrong on that. My front-runner for pulling the plug early is Kevin Can Wait.... I don't believe we are clamoring for another King of Queens type sitcom.
  5. Tonight: "Gotham" season 3 premiere on Fox. "The Good Place" starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson - Pilot airs on NBC. "Kevin Can Wait" starring Kevin James - pilot airs on CBS. The commercials look pretty bad. "The Big Bang Theory" - much like "Everybody Loves Raymond" I can't believe this show is still on, and supposedly successful.
  6. Last year for some reason was the year of OJ... I remember ESPN made a documentary or even a series about it. Then FX jumped on the bandwagon and made this show.
  7. Kershaw is amazing and a true pleasure to watch on the field. It's a sight to behold when someone has that dominant of stuff to go with impeccable control of his pitches.
  8. Those were his 2016 SS numbers. Quite frankly his numbers aren't all that different from 2015. Slight uptick in the routine plays from 96.1 (2016) to 98.5% (2015) and a decline in the likely plays 69.2% (2016) 58.3% (2015)
  9. Out of curiosity I wanted to see Escobar's numbers from Fangraphs and compare it to Polanco... Routine: 96.1% (of 203) ----- Polanco: 96.9% (of 98) Likely: 69.2% (of 13) ----- Polanco: 80% (of 5) Even: 33.3% (of 9) ------ Polanco: 42.9% (of 7) Unlikely: 0% (of 1) ------ Polanco: 25.0% (of 4) Remote: 0% (of 9) --------- Polanco: 0% (of 12) Impossible: 0% (of 2) ---------- Polanco: 0% (of 3) Over the same amount of reps, perhaps Polanco's numbers regress. But just looking at it, there doesn't appear to be too far of a decline in defense if they do choose Polanco to handle SS duties. I may be analyzing this wrong, so feel free to correct if I am.
  10. I didn't see The People vs. OJ Simpson, but I can't imagine it was better than Fargo... Bokeem Woodbine also got robbed for the Outstanding Supporting Actor Award...
  11. Nice! Wow that guy is extremely young, 33 years old. "Bloom’s background with the Rays is multi-faceted but involves working with the team’s player development department, contract negotiations, player evaluation and international scouting." I'm very intrigued with this guy.
  12. Maybe AA and Cherington checked out the glassdoor reviews online for the Twins and said "nopenopenope"
  13. I hope you're taking advantage driving around town topless today! Not too many warm days left in Chicago to do so!
  14. It's also tough to picture a new hair style when you've perfected the look for 30 years... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HfagSCuoQYA/UDuQ4yKJQlI/AAAAAAAAHsM/P9xH6vcG0T8/s1600/mullet1.jpg+w=196&h=300.jpg
  15. Could you imagine Cleveland winning a basketball and baseball championship in the same year? Especially after going 50+ years without winning anything. If that were to happen, the old saying "when it rains, it pours" will ring true.
  16. Hell, even payments for me are DH'd. Auto-payments are a great thing.
  17. Yeah it took going to 3-4 different people at first before I found the right stylist. Now I've been going to her for a year and a half. She knows how to cut it the usual style, and whenever I feel like a change, she knows of good ones to try out too!
  18. Just recently learned how to replace the battery in my car! Woke up on Saturday morning 2 weeks ago planning on meeting a friend at the golf course, only to find out the car battery was toast. Attempting to jump the car did nothing. General Motors does a hell of a job hiding the car battery under the hood....
  19. A nice comfort in life is when you can go to the same guy or woman for a haircut. Completely eliminates the "How do you want it cut?" question! And also eliminates the awkward small talk with random hair stylists.
  20. Someone will see that as a positive. There's a job out there for everyone as they say.... AA hasn't had the experience building an entire front office/scouting/evaluation department before. Maybe the tasks are too daunting for a person like him.
  21. The search firm most likely knew and made it clear to the Twins that Cherington was interviewing for other teams... A couple of things could have happened: - The Twins sat on him too long without any movement, resulting in Cherington moving on to the Blue Jays. - The search firm working with Cherington saw the position and responsibilities he was interviewing for with the Blue Jays and realized this was a step up compared to the opportunity presented with the Twins, and withdrew him from the interview process.
  22. It has to be better than Pretty Little Liars.... A favo(u)rite of Miss Vanimal.
