    This is the last season of Rosario, if he has a big year I think he is traded if he struggles and the second half Rosario reappears I think he is none tendered. You have lot of other options which arm much cheaper who can replace for penny’s on the dollar. Hoping Rosie has a big year!

    I think there is a possibility its a fair comparison light hitting and numbers through the minors and early majors are very similar. I think Arraez appears to have more staying power in the discipline and eye at the plate. He doesn't just swing and put the ball in play he knows the strike zone and appears very comfortable even behind in the count (Mauer like). Its all about continuing to get good pitches to hit and forcing the pitching to throw you those good pitches. 2020 is a big year.

    If you loss Arraez for any amount of time you have good depth and prospects like Gordon and Blankenhorn close.

    I thought it was a great signing and even after last years down performance he still was worth the $. Big value in a guy who can fill in at multiple positions, play them well and add something with the bat. Not to mention he is ok play 4 or 5 days a week spelling guys at different positions along the way.

    I think Celestino is an option this year. Like others said he is already on the 40 man. Keeping Kepler in RF is best for Kepler. i really don’t want Lewis in CF unless SS has to be Totally abandon. outfield defense is very important over the long hall and defense in general for the sucess of the Twins,

    No I don’t, could he sell out in favorable counts and try and drive the ball yes. What makes him a good hitter is waiting and having quick hands and wrist. As long as he has enough power to drive balls into the gaps use entire field and keep left fielders from creeping way in he will be effective. there is value in a guy who can get on base with singles and doubles and drawing walks. I don’t want him to adjust the swing to be a mid teens hr hitter and give up what makes him good.

    I really like the 3 batter minimum/ end of inning rule. I hate the pitch clock and I like the shifts. Teach well rounded players which appears to be more coming up. I wish the umpires would enforce the batters box rules. Stay in the box! If you step all the way out for no reason call a strike. Guys what guys will stay in the batters box! Will cause more and quicker action.

    nothing wrong with identify guy you think could make adjustments or get healthy and taking some minor league lotto tickets on them. If you strike out on 9 out of 10 of them and hit gold on 1 its a plus. Asl long as your showing it in the minors and not rely on them in the majors.

    I agree, I really like Berrios, I believe the twins have reached out about contract extension but Berrios or agents either want to gamble on themselves or want more then he is worth. my problem with Berrios is his motion requires a lot of torch and low body movement and twist to get the movement control and spin that makes him successful. This sync comes and goes which leads to struggles. I think Berrios has a limited shelf life, he is under team control for 3 more years. Ride out those 3 years get everything you can’t of him and let him go to the high bidder. Get what you can out of him while the price is reasonable but done over pay to a guy who traditionally body style doesn’t hold up over time.

    One of Larnach or Kirilloff should be moved at the deadline for some pitching. Take advantage of the prospect value. I personally believe Kirilloff is the better hitter and player long term. But if he was the deciding factor to land you high end pitching l. I’d be happy with Larnach in LF. MLB draft should always be taking the best player available and twins have done a good job of that. With pitching at a premium they are always more valuable.

    I really want nothing to do with chacin. He was a ok pick up when we needed 2 spots to start the season but one spot should go to the best of the young guys. as far as the bullpen goes I think we should give Fernando Romero lots of innings this spring. You can easily see if he has it back or not, if that arm looks live and is controlling his pitching he can be dominate and should be in the bullpen. If he is all over the place and can’t locate that fastball send him back down and see what you can salvage. wisler or even one of the young starters for the last bullpen spot if you don’t see it from Romero.

    No on the 6 man rotation, teams have tried it and it doesn't work at all. I do like the idea of doubling up starters and having your traditional starter throw 2 times through the order and then the second starter come in and doing the same. gives most of the bullpen a day off and a way to take advantage of the pitching carousel of the 3 starters in Smeltzer, Thorpe and Dobnak sending one down after the game and calling another up for the same thing the next time though the rotation.

    I think left fielders are going to creep in taking that slap soft single away and pitchers are going to adjust to him. On the other hand I think umpires give him a little more respect of his strike zone knowledge and the OPS is good/great and he racks up a few more doubles but the batting average isn't as high. With him full time at 2B I am more interested in how his defense looks every day there.

    there was a medical reason at 21 you move a guy to the bullpen and a second teams doesn't like his medical. ikely some serious scare tissue, I think the twins thought he was a tickin time bomb and there was only so many bullets trying to get the most out of him before major injury sinks in were he either cant pitch again or isn't effective. a guy with that kind of stuff and a developing change at 21 doesn't get moved to the pen otherwise. With the kid the best, would have loved to hang onto him but I believe there was more going on medically and the twins thought Maeda was the better gamble. would have like to see a write up on #21 on the list to fill in here for my own selfish enjoyment.

    He looks to be very calm and confident on the mound. AA is always the big test though. can he stay healthy and effective at AA for a complete season. We probably wont see him in 2020 at the MLB level which is probably for the best. Hopefully in 2021 he is ready to take over a starting spot. It appears is delivery is smooth and his deception comes from all his pitching coming out of the same arm angle. kid looks to have big potential.

    I think the only one who might be coming back is Cruz. Odorizzi is going to get grossly over paid. Rich Hill at 41 is in his final go round. Bailey will either pitch well and get paid, or will bomb and be someone elses minor league signing. Gonzalez is a very valuable utility guy who you can plug and play without losing much. Which is a very nice luxury. I think he will move on after 20 with cheap options in the system. May will either have a solid year and be paid well, or he struggles with injury or poor performance and the Twins move on to a younger cheaper piece,

    Are both Rortvedt and Jeffers going to split time at AA to start the season? You could have Tomas Telis Graterol and The turtle at AAA. A lot of catching at the top minor league ranks.

    So we are still assuming we are getting Maeda? With him on paper our starting pitching is on par with the division. Our offense should carry this team through the regular season. Baseball is a funky game, injuries unforeseen poor play or great play can carry or derail a team. Regardless of what happens is the Maeda deal it should be a fun summer.

    id be on the phone with Boston asking if they want to swap Rooker and something with Graterol. They still need a 1B if im not mistaken.

    Have always liked José Miranda reminds me a lot of Arraez. Guy who appears to control the strike zone and doesn’t strike out. Miranda appears to be a better and versatile fielder. Colina is a guy you should say could be #1 on this list. Throw hard reaching 100 if his secondary stuff comes along at AA he has top of the rotation potential. Looks like we might see him in spring training.

    The problems with targeting guys on teams like the Rockies is they are still trying to sell competitive baseball in 2020. They are 1 years removed from being a 90 win team they think/ hope selling to season ticket holders that things are going to bounce better for them in 2020. At the trade deadline it will likely will be a different story. not a lot of teams out there with pitching that are selling youth and a rebuild that have solid semi expensive pitching willing to move. You have teams like KC and Detroit Baltimore Marlins and nowPittsburgh. Everyone else thinks there is a chance they can compete in 2020 and this late won’t move pieces especially pitching.

    The problem with this depth is that no one can play CF and Buxton is regularly out. Yes you can move Kepler over but now you take a good right fielder and make him an average CFer and replace him with a below average RFer. Making the total outfield defense from a strength to a weakness. Really like the OF depth but should be moved for pitching at the deadline even if you have to overpay. Kirilloff is the guy who seems like he could be a big time difference maker with the bat and am hoping he sticks to see him in a twins uniform
