  1. I'd let Mahle start the 7th, then maybe Thielbar for the lefties.
  2. I think this was an issue when he was with the Twins.

  4. Whhaaattt?? Over the teams last 30 games they are 1 game better than the Evil Empire!! I do agree with ditching the baby blues of the non-competitive years and bringing back the pin stripes.
  5. I don't think his playing in the ASG affected his playing time going forward, except that he missed the Detroit series due to postponing the PRP injection. I think he aggravated, or worsened, the knee during the Milwaukee or San Diego series with that awkward swing. It sucks not having him out there, but obviously he is nowhere near 100% and is trying to play through it. Eventually he will be shut down and the teams season will go with him.
  6. I am also in that boat, but I honestly don't think it mattered.
  7. The Evil Empire hit into 2 lead off DP's against Seattle last night, but managed to win.....
  8. I do not know what Urshela did to get in the doghouse. This line up would look a little better with him DHing and batting 5th.
  9. Cave with a terrible swing at an unsuitable pitch on 3-1....
  10. I think it has been put out there several times that Buxton's knee will be fine one day or several days then flare up for one day or several days, a 10 or 15 day IL stint will not fix it. I am assuming the the PRP(??) injection isn't working as hoped. Or he aggravated it in that AB against Milwaukee or San Diego where he swung awkwardly and was flexing it quite a bit afterwards. At this point, I think if the Twins fall out of contention (let's hope not) he would be shut down and more options considered (pure speculation on my part).
  11. Believe it or not the 11th and 12th inning base running by the Yankees is even worse...

  13. Regardless of your feelings over today's line-up and the handling of Buxton and his knee, the team was still in position to win and rightfully should have. MLB screwed up badly and I would not be surprised to see an apology from the league office after a review, sort of like what happens in the NFL from time to time. It won't take the sting out of today's loss, but they'll feel better about themselves for the review system that "corrected" a call that was correctly made on the field.
