    From MLBTR: Braves director of baseball operations Billy Ryan is one of the names under consideration in the Twins’ general manager search, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports (Twitter link). Despite being in his mid-thirties, Ryan has an extensive resume in the game, working in the Commissioner’s office as well as in the front offices of the Rangers, Indians and Diamondbacks, including four seasons as Arizona’s assistant GM. As Nightengale notes, Ryan is one of “several young executives” on the Twins’ radar as a replacement for former GM Terry Ryan (no relation).

    I haven't read far enough to see if someone responded to "greater WAR", but here it is according to FanGraphs: Buxton: Off: -10.5 Def: 4.6 WAR: 0.2 D. Santana: Off : -7.1 Def: -3.3 WAR: -0.3 According to FanGraphs: Using WAR properly is difficult because it requires you to think more abstractly than some other aspects of life. The exact number is not as important as the basic range, but this isn’t just true of WAR. This is the case with all statistics in all parts of the game. FanGraphs scale says: Scrub 0-1 WAR So either one = Not good, WAR-wise.

    A bunt is a simple thing: 1. Ritual sacrifice of one's self to the advancement of another 2. A well placed, short range volley into enemy territory to stage an assault into said enemy territory. 3. Used as an offensive maneuver to draw in said enemy to block perceived offensive maneuver, with the intention of executing a longer range assault into said enemy defenses of said territory. If there's anything that Buxton really needs to learn at the MiLB level, is what a freaking WARNING TRACK is!! Oh, yeah, and the said longer range assault thingy.
