  1. I thought you had to wait a year from the time they were drafted before you can trade a prospect. Guess I was wrong
  2. Offering a 5 yr contract to a 31 yr old pitcher seems pretty risky. I'd rather offer a couple of high end prospects for a young, up and coming Ace.
  3. Headline of this article is "Most Improved," and no question, Buxton was the man. It's no coincidence, that the team turned around same time Buxton did. Now next article should be MVP and I'll get my vote in early and that's Buxton.
  4. 1. We lost because Gardenhire was in the building 2. Hindsight, Santana shouldn't have pitched the 2nd inning 3. We have a deep line up but boy, do we need pitching.
  5. Santana handed a 3 run lead and promptly gives it right back. Geez n this is 1st inning. No way should he go back out. He's all over the place.
  6. Severino is by by. He let in 3 runs against in 3 innings last time. We got his number
  7. We have a great history on going from worst to first. Hope we can repeat it.
  8. Of course you know I'm kidding, lived up their for 7 years, September was best time of the year. Fall colors were awesome .
  9. Read on MLB.com that Twins toying with idea of Gibson following Santana, so Nick, you are correct showing Santana on 10/3, Gibson 10/5
  10. I believe those boys are having a Coors Light. Not sure if true but read once, more beer is consumed at a baseball game then a football game, excluding tailgating.
  11. I'll drink to this (my coffee that is.). I see a core 6, seems early to include Mejia.
  12. I would have had Gonsalves, then Slegers, Romero, Thorpe. To have Romero and Thorpe come back from TJ and throw the way they did, is quite impressive. Recent interview with Falvine, said Gonsalves and Romero were running out of gas at the end, thus reason not to promote Gonsalves when that start opened up end of August. Personally, I think Gonsalves got his nose bent out of shape when he was passed over, reason why last couple of starts were so so.
  13. Where in the world did you find that pic. I thought the last one was a classic but this one .............. off the charts. Love it!!!!
  14. I'll tell you, this team is really something. This has nothing to do to today's game, instead, just reflecting on the talent. I must have watched close to a dozen replays of Buxton's inside thepark homer at yesterday's game and to see that speed, especially rounding 3rd, is just not human. I guess he broke a statcast record yesterday. Then, seeing Berrio's pitch. In my opinion, he has the best, high inside FB of anyone I've seen. He sets it up beautiful, then fires that filthy pitch at 94/95, it's unhittable. And then, next time thru the batter's order, he comes back and throws low and away curves and sliders. Unreal. Too bad about Sano but those homers, give me a break. Then the smooth athleticism of Kepler. Fun watching them all play in the minors and now in the big show. This is going to last a long time.
  15. Dogs chasing the cat, I love it. Riverbrain, you're the best. By the way, there's a Cleveland GA. Up near the north GA mountains.
  16. Also, 93 pitches for Gibson and couldn't get past 4.2 innings. yet,we're in playoff hunt with patched up pitching staff of Santana, Berrios, the big Sexy and see what sticks. Pretty amazing.
