  1. Don't know, but i expect he's no more in the dog house than Torii was yesterday. But that's a good question. Does Molitor have a dog house?
  2. I also gotta read me this thread in a slower and deliberate fashion. There was poetry. Good stuff. And i's sad i did not the contribute. And having asked what we learned, i gotta learn too, if only to set a good example. But yeah, as fun as it may be to give folk a hard time, life is probably more important than game threads, so don't be too hard on anyone who acknowledges that... Anyway, yeah... Find time to read. Learn something myself, and perhaps contribute a bit more next time.
  3. Runner on second with one out. This sounds familiar for some reason...
  4. If you were a twin, we'd have the lead. Hope one of the Twins can say as much soon.
  5. Hicks beats out the dribbler! On first with no outs... Looks good.
  6. Perhaps just barely, as they are professionals, but ranging that way and then making the throw is more difficult than it looks. Trying to put anything extra on the throw is likely to pull it up the third base line, just like he did... (I remember thinking the same thing when Hicks airmailed that sort of throw in spring training a year ago)
  7. Gibson strands another runner in scoring position. Have both teams stranded a runner at second and a runner at third now?
  8. I didn't see it (nor am i Halsey) but might it have been one of those "hit and run, and wait at second to see if it is a double or a fly out"?
  9. That had not occurred to me. I went back and looked at the record. Indeed 3 AL teams had losing records: The Yankees, the Orioles, and the Indians. And before inter-league play, those 3 had to lose enough for the other 11. So my hat's off to them for their noble sacrifice in making everyone else feel better. But speaking of tough divisions... 33/115 and 35/122 both apparently round to .287, but the first fraction must be greater than the second, 'cause they list Hunter first in the batting averages. I might have to pull out a calculator to verify...
  10. I am in awe of your 3d thinking! I surmise you too would have defeated old school Kahn in the second movie. I think you will find the answer in the xkcd state shapes map... (hold on a moment...) https://xkcd.com/1079/
  11. Probably the thumb. Opposable digits, especially non-human, are often disconcerting.
  12. Er... 16 pitch 4th? 0 runs allowed? for a 33% increase in the previous CBU on Pelfrey's pitches and runs... Oh yeah, still 3-2 Twins lead entering the 5th.
  13. Rosario has another hit in another game. (for an RBI) (and stolen base) Still 8 more games 'til he matches Glenn Williams...
  14. Concur. Weirdness with the review and all. Apparently now Mauer is out at 2nd. Oh well. I'll take a lead any day. I guess i'm just greedy.
  15. Something reminiscent of Six String Samurai about that image.
  16. If it weren't for cheap, i'm not sure i'd get any laughs at all. So don't knock cheap. In the meantime, i hope you recover from your wounds. Nothin' like a bit o' Twins baseball to make one feel right as rain.
  17. Thanks for the recommendations. Have seen X files (indeed, new episodes were a social event in the 90s) Have seen new Who to a point, enough to appreciate Torchwood, though i've only seen an episode or two of it. Not familiar with Warehouse 13... But i think a motivation for Land of the Lost is the campiness. Old Who would fall in the category too. Meh, i'll watch something... Up until the game tonight. Though i suppose i could also distract myself with useful things, like yardwork.
