  1. Aren't baked beans iconic? And does anywhere else have brown bread (it comes in a can) But those you can get anywhere without loss of flavor... Things already mentioned sound like good ideas. At least better than i could offer.
  2. Let's go, Pythagorean Triple Play. (It'd make me happy, but i'll be satisfied with anything that leads to a goose egg to pick up Arcia)
  3. Ah, but did your doctor say anything about eating them tomorrow? Or the next 2 weeks? Enjoy!
  4. Friction was higher than expected, i think. I hope he's okay.
  5. Felony? That sounds like a written rule then. This was brought up in the context of unwritten ones.
  6. Is there such a thing as an ugly goose egg? Circus Boy update: Twins up 1-0 after 2.
  7. Thanks for correcting that. I figured i'd not take the time to look it up, and see if anyone noticed if i got it wrong... I have not scored very many games in my time, and figured it'd make slightly more sense numbering wise to continue the increasing widdershins theme displayed in the infield proper... Live and learn. So the line up contains 7 squared too... What can we make o' that?
  8. (I'm still not sure if i'm supposed to be raising it or lowering it... There are sound arguments that both are acceptable, even preferred) I was going to comment on an interesting fact of this line up: TWINS: 1. Santana SS (6) 2. Hunter RF (7) 3. Mauer 1B (3) 4. Dozier 2B (4) 5. Plouffe 3B (5) 6. (our) Escobar DH (er... 0? 1?!) 7. Arcia LF (9) 8. Suzuki C (2) 9. Schafer CF (8) That being positions 3,4,5 are batting 3,4,5 respectively... 3,4,5 squared? It's a Pythagorean triplet.
  9. It probably falls under the heading of a short leash. I hear it is a good universal management (or moderation) technique, often employed for starters to keep them in line... for a win.
  10. If i ever manage a team, everyone must be able to catch. It'll teach them to respect the position, at the very least, and contribute to the renaissance athlete we all aspire to be.
  11. Humph. I'm only a third of the way through my 2 liter. And i broke out the cheetos. What shall i do the rest of the night?
  12. The first extras of the season. Way to field the bunt, Herrmann!
  13. Oh well. I hearby claim the 9th inning in the name of Paul Molitor! (Now where's that flag...)
  14. Runners at the corners, 2 outs. Mauer up. The tension is mounting...
  15. Con-curses! I could have joined in with that. Almost as wild as the 6th inning.
