    This whole thing just smells bad. We have a young guy, previously rated in the top 5 prospects in MILB, just starting to mash, and we're going to change his defensive position. He already carries 2 gloves, let's add a third. ... Give Sano 3rd and move Plouffe around.

    Wish they'd have reacted to E Santana's mechanical breakdown earlier. I saw him throw 28 (!) strikes in a row in his first 3 innings of his opener last season with the Braves and was expecting that all year this year. Last start hopefully gets him back to the stud he should be for us.

    I don't see a huge problem with his strikeouts. He is properly aggressive early, when pitchers are trying to get ahead (listening, Joe?), and lays off a lot of pitches when they are trying to nibble and put him away. The good ones hit the corners with very tough pitches - you tip your cap and head back to the dugout. The marginal ones can't hit the corners, fill the count, where he either mashes a cookie or takes a walk. For a number 4 hitter - I'm loving it.

    I wonder how much of the improvement/changes are a result of him adjusting vs the coaching staff being very proactive. If Bruno, feels like an improvement vs prior years- but maybe just a sense

    If history holds I'd assume 2016 will be a rebuilding year, and possibly the 1st half of 2017.

    My only problem with your article is the phrase "there is no doubt" on the timeline for call up. Man, it would be great to give the team (really, the fans) a shot in the arm to have him up here earlier rather than later, but TR has his own timeline and I doubt he'll be swayed by either the big club's record or the fan's voice.

    I think the pitching staff and manager are liking having defense in the outfield. Arcia won't be back out there until he is hitting > .300
