  1. My additional intangible is Marwin's versatility. We really have 9 starting position players. His ability to spell multiple defensive positions for rest, injury, mid-game pitching matchup is very unique. Ahire had this ability also but not to the extent of Mr. Gonzalez.
  2. Good to have competition for spots on the roster. You can NEVER have to many arms. Please don't make roster decisions because of minor league options. You earn the spot you get the shot.
  3. My first reaction was huh! I ws really hoping the Twins would make Brusdar the Big Bad Bull in the back of the pen. I don't wish ill to Brusdar, but I think the injury risk played a part in this decision.
  4. Archer NOOOOOOOO!!!! If the price is right, Musgrove on a flyer. No need to overpay. Always deal from a position of strength.
  5. When I personally watch a Bomba in the 110 degree oven that is Arlington Texas I'll be singing Stevie Ray Vaughn "It's flooding down in Texas"
  6. Diesel... I think the eye test is ALWAYS more important than statistics. Maybe that's why I'm sitting in the recliner.
  7. This is the best case scenario in MHO! Hopefully by the playoffs he can be that Big Bad Bull in the back of the pen. The fella that comes out and both teams know the game is over, Mariano Rivera style.
  8. Your advanced metrics confirm my eye test. Your metrics are approved. Castro was a good to great signing for the Twins. Best wishes for a successful twilight to your career Jason. Just not against the Twins.
  9. If the Twins Bombas can score 6 or 7 when Homer gives up 4 or 5 they should be in the post season.
  10. At this point the Twins are pitching pennies in the wishing well and hoping for the best. Sometimes the long shot in Vegas hits.
  11. I think I'm in the minority. I would groom Brusdar to be the closer. 1) Bullpen work will limit his innings. 2) Injury history does not bode well for a long career as a starter. 3) Bullpen work allows Brusdar to impact more games. 4) A strong bullpen can cover a shorter rotation.
  12. Miguel is a big fella, with a big swing, that hits big flys, that travel big distances! I would prefer he hits them for the Twins.
  13. Well that was a mighty fine wager I made in March! Twins Wins. Yep I'm going to break my arm passing myself on the back for that one.
