    Why pay money when you can watch it, over and over, for free? If you remember, Molitor pulled Rosario out of the game the next half inning after this play. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/6479266/v710269083/detmin-rosario-swipes-third-in-the-7th/?game_pk=447467 The title of the page "Rosario's heads-up base running" might be a little misleading if you believe like Molitor does that Rosario was wrong to take the extra base they were giving him.

    Rosario is extremely talented but young and still learning what is possible at the major league level.

    Great article. Looks like Rosario was trying to do too much on that play, so I'm not sure what Molitor's problem is. I thought Molitor said would rather pull a guy back from being too aggressive than have to get a guy stirred up. I doubt Rosario will ever be a great hitter but not everyone in the lineup needs to be a great hitter. He is good in the field. I hadn't checked on his UZR and didn't realize it was that high.

    You are right-- It reminded me of all the Gatorade baths back to 2013. It was usually Plouffe and Arcia dumping the bucket on Dozier.

    It could work, and Mauer's mini-resurgence perhaps has coincided with taking more days off, so there's more playing time for others. If Sano was hitting better in this time share arrangement I might feel better about it. I'm ready to jump off the deep end with Sano at 3B full time and give him a lot of rope. If at some point they decide it's not working, you pick up a guy like Plouffe in FA or trade or try Polanco or a minor league guy might be ready.

    Ted, do you know the family personally? In that case I can certainly understand this being a little bittersweet for you and/or other folks who have really gotten to know him and like him over the years.

    Good question. With Plouffe's poor season, it would be hard to imagine him winning an arbitration ruling.

    ?? Are you saying Antony was offered Trout for Buxton? I'm not sure I would make the trade for those pitchers anyway. Better to develop your own draft picks, as you implied by mentioning Sanchez.

    Thanks jokin! I'm guessing a lot of the clicks are from people who already commented on a thread. After commenting on another person's blog, I have clicked there dozens of times afterward just to keep up with the discussion. (Maybe not dozens but a lot.) I was posting the above in the forum thread but it started to feel and look like complaining, so I took ChiTowns advice and moved it to a blog--and made it longer
