  1. I love both Duffy and Theilbar from their time with the Twins in the past, but they both look terrible.
  2. Or they could win the next two games and take the series!
  3. Rogers is/was a REALLY good trade chip. If Paddack turns out to be as bad as every Padres fan seems to think he is, I sure wish we could have done better. But if he turns into a solid #3, AND we pull some bullpen magic out of our butts, this will be a great trade. Again, Wes Johnson will have to be doing some amazing work.
  4. I agree with the point you make about free agency. Colomé is a great example of how experience does not mean they will perform well... Let's hope Wes Johnson and crew have better luck this season.
  5. It's wild that Correa makes more per season than the entire pitching staff. That's probably not a great sign...
  6. Why did you write the words "Sam Dyson" in an article? Are you trying to make me feel better about the snow?
  7. FYI ZIPS has Kepler projected at #4 on the team's position players in WAR, behind Correa, Buxton, and Polanco. https://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=ALL&teamid=8
  8. It's possible they sign Story and Royce Lewis still turns into an SS, in which case they trade one of them. Lewis hasn't played in two years and is no sure thing.
  9. This is exactly the deal. I think the slow pace is at least as much on hitters (and specifically on the Red Sox and Yankees hitters from 15 years ago, who started this whole thing) who have to take their batting gloves on and off in between each pitch. If umps would not allow them to call time, and begin to institutionalize quick pitching hitters who are dorking around, they would change real quick.
  10. I got to see him in St. Paul and was impressed with this eye at the plate. He didn't seem like a free swinger, but I guess he has a low walk rate? Anyone have more info on how that. might play out in the Majors?
  11. Just watch: he'll have a big year this year, make it all worth it.
