  1. agreed on the stress pitching puts on a human body. We just weren’t made to throw a ball 100 mph. Strengthening makes your muscles strong, not your ligaments and tendons more resilient. Strength without adequate resilience seems to be correlated/causal from my very uneducated perspective. I’m shocked we don’t hear of more yoga, but maybe it’s widely practiced and it’s just not “news”. My PT swears by yoga, and it has helped a ton with my own struggle with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Cubital Tunnel Syndrome (neither hip/leg injuries, but both common pitcher injuries). My PT also has me doing strengthening, but it’s counterbalancing. The prescription for TOS is to stretch out my pecks and strengthen my serratus and trap, along with manually pushing my ribs further apart. No it’s not pitching related, but being treated the same way. In all things, balance and moderation.
  2. I love Fortnite! But I’ve never gotten a paper cut from it. Just floss
  3. That is a disappointing and self-defeating read. According to the CDC 26% of Americans have a disability and approximately 14% of Americans have a mobility disability, this is a huge and growing market segment, one that everyone can join (and probably will over a long enough time horizon) and some can leave. its in their own best self interest, and still to provide a measurably worse experience in the increased number of accessible seats is frustrating and sad.
  4. The Royals in 2012 were 72-90 in 2013 they went to the World Series and won it in 14. Florida Marlins in 97 and ‘03 its more like 4-5 times in 30 years. but rebuilds 100% of the time make the team worse. Using the same logic you love so much…. There’s one team, Tampa that has proven itself good at rebuilding and has enough capability to sell off players and not tank. Half the league has dabbled at some point, and it cratered Pittsburgh, KC, and Miami for very long stretches. if the Twins hold it together for the rest of the season, they may not win in the post season, may not make the post season, but at least we get to watch an above 500 team, and maybe they find lightning in a bottle.
  5. Entirely disagree with selling. They are in first place in the central, 3rd in the Al in runs scored, 7th in the Al in runs against, and on pace for 86 wins. a 2-3 strong pitchers added can go a long ways towards making a post season push this year. Even if they just hold on they can still win the division, and I absolutely hate watching a team give up. im sick of losing and so far this season, they are winners! Let’s keep it that way just say no to rebuilds

  7. If a tree falls in the woods, but there’s no one there to hear it, does it make a sound? how do you know? I think the obviously it does make a sound, but we can’t blame you for it because we won’t know it was you
  8. I think breakfast burritos can be eaten for any meal mmm… yum
  9. Adding to this, he’s got two years left at current rate. 22/23 offseason will see another huge crop of free agent SS. Does Correa think he can get more on a long term deal this off-season, or next off-season (23/24)? if it’s next, and he likes it in MN, there’s a chance he doesn’t opt out. With Royce going through surgery, what are the odds the Twins can pull off another Correa deal?
  10. Especially when the bench is a strength of the team.
  11. Agreed on the potential outcomes. Dont really agree w/ all your prescriptions 4) Sps are being managed for innings because they haven’t been healthy or for most of them haven’t ever pitched 30 games/100 innings before in their careers. If you don’t want any gas in the tank come October, take the reins off now. 6) Sano has put up Josh Bell-like numbers in the past, why DFA Sano and trade for Bell? 7) that’s overrated for the players and predictable for opposing bullpens. Eight- forcing players who haven’t been coached to bunt or steal to suddenly start doing those activities mid-season is a recipe for disaster.
  12. I think the mega single trade partner like this proposal is the highest likelihood that the Twins address all 3 of their major areas of concern by the deadline. I like the concept
  13. Agreed, it depends on price. While I’d love to see Montas in a Twins uni, usually pitching prospects are the currency of trades like this. With the risk of injury, depleting depth becomes even riskier. Considering how much injury risk in the rotation, the Twins currently have, I would be very averse to including high minors starters like Winder/Ober that I’m sure Oakland would insist upon. if they could swing it with lower minors pitching, I’d be very interested.
  14. I like the thread within a thread topical format. It reduces clicking which is nice on a phone
  15. The last 10 games were freakin’ brutal, but they’re still in first place. They’ve won 50 and don’t have to give those back. I think they’ll take some half measures to shore up the bullpen and go .500 the rest of the way out and end the season at 84 wins. Management and the FO have done a great job of managing starter work load, but they still all ran out of gas heading into the ASG. I wasn’t in the “trade for a starter” camp a week ago, but am now. Also need to get a couple setup men and move Sands to the big league swing man. if the FO can pull of 3 good moves for pitching and find a bat with OBP skills to lengthen the top of the lineup this team can still make a strong push in the post season. I don’t see 4 significant moves happening. 1-2 tops. they’re still a good team and can still win the division, but they’ll need some luck to make waves in the post season
  16. Agreed, for the team, goal needs to be to win. What about the league?
  17. We may have to lock the thread but keep this pinned to the top of the forums! this deserves to be Scotch-taped to the fridge! great work!
