  1. It’s a strange new world! my work has rolled out AR training with Microsoft HoloLens. It’s pretty nifty to see the trainer indicate in your field of vision, the lever to pull on your machine in real time, without being in the room.
  2. Awesome perspective Sherry and Ryan. Super relatable for a lot of us who never got as close to the goal as Ryan did. It takes a lot of grit and determination to play and excel at college ball, and a lot more to accept current circumstances and still achieve great milestones in spite of the challenges. Great series Sherry, I look forward to learning more!
  3. Thanks for clarifying the league average bat in a bat-first fielding position. I agree with that assertion and agree, an upgrade is needed, but I don’t think trading or DFAing Kepler is a requirement. He’s a high-floor, low-ceiling quality fielder who stays on the field. Lots of value with the list of ailments across the outfield.
  4. I never had any professors at undergrad or grad school look like that
  5. Pagan is a leaky lifeboat, not some insidious murderer dooming passengers to drown. The ships engineers thought they could repair the lifeboat at sea, before the titanic set off on that doomed voyage. They failed miserably….
  6. Aha! It’s just like Star Wars starting with episode 4…. good thing I read the scrawling yellow text
  7. Where’s day 1? I enjoyed reading Day 2 and look forward to catching up on the rest of the trip.
  8. Twins and Rangers play again tomorrow. Twins can still split the series. this one was discouraging. Pagan…
  9. Agreed, you take the bad with the good. I wish he was healthier too, but I don’t really get the call for change, or criticism. Buxton’s health history was a part of the contract price and the funky incentives. History is the best (not necessarily accurate) predictor of the future.
  10. This! additional, his current 379 plate appearances are the second most in a season in his career. his current fWAR 3.7 is third most in a season in his career. he’s having a more productive season compared to history despite the knee injury.
  11. Great work Sherry! I’m always amazed by how deep you dig to find meaningful stories! The fans are what makes this game great, and TD has done great fans making our community awesome
  12. There is something to be said for durability and reliability. He’s tied with Gordon and Polanco for 3rd in games played this season (95). and his 98 wRC+ is right in line with his career 101. With Buxton, Larnach, Kiriloff, all on the shelf and inconsistent, it’s nice to have reliable ol’ Max.
  13. To add to this, the players are not objective opinions of their effectiveness if they stretch more innings, or weighing the impact of inherited runners to the bullpen. I don’t blame Gray for being a competitor and wanting to go deeper in games, but his opinion is just his opinion. He pitched great his last outing, but letting him go for the 7th was very fortunate that Thielbar was hell of a fireman. That probably would have have gone crooked 7 out of 10 times and changed the game entirely.
  14. 100% agreed, they should have and probably did know in warmups that Mahle was hurt, and Sands or Bundy or whoever should have started this game.

  16. Agreed, Thielbar put the fire out without a run scored, that was the first time I can remember in a looong time, that an inherited runner didn’t score. Rocco does everything he can to avoid mid-inning reliever changes because inherited runners score so frequently. They don’t have that rubber-armed fireman to get you out of a jam. Sands was effective last night for the 9th, but I think he’d be better served piggy backing with Archer to get the two of them through 7 or 8 innings on a schedule.
