  1. It seems to me Kintzler can strike people out when he has to. I seem to recall a couple of situations where he needed the strikeout and got the job done. Yes, strikeouts are gaudy but, in the end, the guys behind the pitcher need to make the plays, which they have been doing in regards to Mr Kintzler. If the guys behind the pitcher cannot catch the ball, that means you're putting the closer in a situation where he has to strike people out. That's a bad situation too.

  3. Remember the old signs at the Metrodome that said "Hey Hrbek, buy a vowel." Good times.

  5. And yet again, Sox fielding comes through for the Twins. Someone may have even wrote a game thread mocking Sox fielding a couple of years ago.
  6. According to my math, 60 pitches an inning times 7 innings is only 420 pitches. Granted, I may be on the low side but your gross exaggeration does no favors to anyone, good sir!
  7. At least the Twins are working every single angle they can before the trade deadline.
  8. I know what you mean. I had the same thing happen when I was browsing the local gun store.

  10. Still better than Perkins neck beard or whatever it is Perkins has going.
  11. I think I'm going to give up on Twins home games and just watch the road games.
  12. Blake sees that Chitown has this third person thing down to a T.
  13. Sorry, that's just plain weird. Okay, maybe not plain weird. Maybe paisley weird.
  14. You realize in a big city that kind of behavior is "weird" while in a small town it's considered "normal." Amazing how the context in which one lives influences the way one thinks, acts and perceives.
  15. Nah, I'm sure the artists who created the leg sculptures was making a point about how the world of adults looks to small children and, by extension, trying to remind us adults just how small we are in the macroverse. Me, I lean more toward ugly a** art that no one with any sense would ever buy, so, therefore, this was commissioned by city government to reward the second cousin of a nephew who's mother was once married to a member of the city council.
