  1. Ted ain't killing it so far tonight. The Roc better get the hook ready.
  2. Unless Sano learned how to pitch in the last few months, they better make another "big trade" or two.
  3. We need a base running guru to expound some skills into these guys.
  4. I really don't think we could get that lucky, but I've been fooled before.
  5. We'll know in the next week or so, how good a team the FO thinks we have. If they sit on their hands and do very little, or nothing, then it's sure possible that Cleve and/or Chi could lap us. I hope that doesn't happen. We all know what this team needs. If we can get a couple decent arms, that would make a world of difference. We certainly are in the conversation about winning the division. I don't think there's any doubt about that. We could sure use some help though. I want to see some action by the FO, not excuses. Let's say we do win the division. Depending on how it shakes out and who we'd play, we could advance. The Yanks and Stros will get the byes. but we'd more than likely get killed by either of them anyway.
  6. Only 3 hits between both teams. Gotta get something going here.
  7. Stupidity like this...letting Det back into the game...is why we need to figure out how to get HITS when we have the bases full, instead of scoring with a sac fly or a ground out. It's painful to keep doing that over and over.
  8. Bout time somebody knocked one off the wall with the bases full.
  9. Bases jacked with no outs. Can we possibly get a crooked number up there for a change?
  10. Who are these announcers? Where's Bremer and the flavor of the week?
  11. Just saw that Buxton got a PRP injection in his right knee on Wed, so he'll be out until probably next weeks series with the Brewers. Not good news, but hopefully it helps the knee.
  12. If the Tigers are collecting Twins players, I'm sure we can come up with a few more guys on our current roster for them.
  13. I'm an old goat too...and not the good kind. I agree with pretty much everything in your post, especially the set lineup point and also the bunts and SB's. I would add sacs to that as well. It's gotten a little bit more settled, but the lineup changes every single game just bugs the **** out of me.
  14. I'm fairly confident that the FO will do something at the deadline. Whether or not they pull of anything remotely resembling a "blockbuster", is extremely doubtful. It's just not their style. I don't know if Montas is even worth giving up some of the kids for. I'd rather have Castillo. Although he's been good in past seasons, Trevino doesn't do much for me either. More than likely, they make a couple small deals for some pitching. I'd like to see Murphy here, I don't feel he's over rated at all. He's a good solid defensive catcher with a decent bat. Much better than what we've got. It'll be very interesting to see what happens in the next couple weeks. I think a lot will hinge on how bad we play coming off the break. If we keep cratering, that might change the whole ball of wax.
  15. As much as I'd hate to see it...he'll be back. I can't see them releasing him and eating the money, and I doubt they trade him. He'll get some playing time the rest of the season, and we'll get to see more of the same Sano that we've always seen.
  16. They're looking more and more like a .500 team as the season goes on. The hitting is extremely inconsistent, and we all know the problems with the pitching staff. I just don't see the FO making the kind of moves needed to get us much better. I'd be shocked if we do much of anything at the deadline, other than maybe a couple minor deals. It's just not their modus operandi to make a splash.
  17. That was an amazingly putrid effort by the Twins.
  18. Losing 3 of 4 to the Sox here at home, is pitiful. Unless the FO makes some moves to fix a few things, we're in big trouble. We've got one foot out the door, and the other on the banana peel.
