  1. Buxton for me. His defense is top of the league valuable. Not sure Sano has a skill that will lead the league. Maybe home runs some year. Both are very valuable IF they can stay healthy
  2. Thanks for the great coverage of the minor leagues. These are my favorite articles on my favorite web site
  3. Everyone's throwing errors are up. Maybe Mauer is missed at 1B. He was an excellent defensive 1st baseman. Cron is not. Hope I never see Adrianza there again
  4. Not to pile on Eddie because he is one of my favorite players but not only has it affected his fielding and base running but also his hitting. He is not hitting for as much power as he was. I thought he made it 5-0 when he pulled that ball today but it hit the limestone and even after Soler fumbled the ball Eddie was not at second base. He has hit three balls off the wall this week that I think would have been home runs earlier in the year. I am wondering like LA Vikes Fan also. Ankle is worse than a sprain.
  5. Any chance they can trade Schoop by Wednesday? If someone gets hurt we can call up Gordon.
  6. I think that the prospect cost would be about nothing if the Twins pick up most of Kennedy's contract. They are in a better position than most contenders for this type of deal as several have luxury tax or payroll limit concerns. I prefer this to a prospect bidding war unless you are going for Syndegaard or Stroman. I also like the Givens and/or Bundy idea. Both could pitch better out of Baltimore and the prospect cost should not hurt too much.
  7. Trade for Carlos Martinez. He could help in the bullpen this year and stretch out in spring training for next year as a starter
  8. Thanks for the research. I only saw Colina pitch two innings in spring training but I would not trade him. I would try some combination of two of Stewart, Gonsalves, Gordon, Larnach
  9. I feel the same way about Larnach. A left handed hitting corner OF is behind Rosario and Kepler for the next few years.
  10. Other Surprises- Schoop has an excellent throwing arm- Martin Perez - Has been a solid rotation piece Jorge Polanco - STARTING ALL-STAR shorstop
  11. Kennedy IMHO is the best fit as I assume the Royals would eat some payroll. The Royals will not be contending by 2020 so if they can save half that payroll money and pick up a middling prospect this deal could get done. It makes sense from the Twins side by adding needed bullpen help without having to part with a top 20 prospect.
  12. WIll Buxton be back? He makes a big difference. Not sure I want to watch Astudillo in RF again.
  13. Before you guys fire Baldelli you may want to re-listen to the post game show. Polanco bunted on his own. It was not called from the bench
  14. I would not be suprised if the White Sox buy at the trade deadline. They might pursue the second wild card spot and consider that a big step forward.
  15. I like the way you think. The only part I question is the middle of the order bat. Rocco has batted him mostly6th-7th and I think that is perfect. Getting run production from the lower part of the order is a nice position to be in.
  16. I think they need to improve the depth of the bullpen besides the back end. I could see a Hunter Strickland pick up if he looks good when he returns. Seattle is in sell mode and he would not cost much
  17. I think they will try several internal options. Why not Randy Dobnak? I think I would leave Smeltzer as a starter. We will need a starter again at some point and he looks much better than Kohl Stewart to me. I would try Stewart in the pen
  18. Wes Johnson has some work to do with the windup but he has nice size.
  19. The attractive part with Kimbrel is that he will cost money not prospects and could be exactly what we need. The money should be available since the crowds will be very good the rest of the season. The hold up is the way he ended the season last year. I think that and his salary demands are what caused him to be unsigned this long. But if they signed Kimbrel now you would have until the end of July to decide if you should trade for additional bullpen help. I hope they go for it.
  20. The manager of the year award may turn in to the organization of the year award
