  1. The point is that if we are calling up unproven prospects fromAA as our go to plan then someone screwed up both last winter and at the trade deadline. I hope Graterol is the next Nolan Ryan but it wouldn’t be Plan A for me
  2. Quite a plan when your brilliant FO has to rely on 20 year olds to win a pennant
  3. None of our farm should be untouchable for the right trade. If Lewis isn’t going to stay at SS then I would trade him now. Graterol and Balazovic are the only two I would struggle to part with
  4. Since the brain trust has released half the bullpen they started with I’m not optimistic that internal options are the answers
  5. I’m less worried about the schedule than I am about the Twins playing better. It’s been about a month of sloppy baseball and it seems to be getting worse.
  6. No I’m ripping them because our pitching has been our weakness since they have arrived and they have been unsuccessful in improving it
  7. Interesting. That pitching lineup is pathetic. This FO has really dropped the ball
  8. Amazing eye at the plate? Don’t think so but there are signs of improvement overall in the last month
  9. Playing SS at the MLB level ain’t easy. But it doesn’t mean you give up trying to find that guy
  10. The weak link in this article is that neither Falvey or Levine were the primary decision makers. We have no idea what their opinions were of the decisions.
  11. My point is that we don’t have to accept mediocrity in the field at SS. Get a strong defender at SS and let Polanco be the best all around second basemen in baseball because he would be elite at second base
  12. The risk / reward on that play is ominous. The reason you don’t do it is there frequently is “the perfect throw”. It gains you so little advantage you should never take that risk. People need to analyze this like a poker hand and it would never happen
  13. Since the other thread got locked for some reason Laudner is the worst color commentator I’ve heard. He has to be gone. Good news is that Smeltzer and Thorpe look like two potential effective lefties for the future
  14. I don’t know if Syndegaard is the right guy but all prospects should be in play with the possible exception of Graterol and Balazovic
  15. I think I see signs of progress. He is laying off pitches out of the zone lately and his swing looks a little more compact. Similarly even though he had an o fer I thought Buxton had a good day at the plate. He didn’t chase at all - swung at nothing but strikes
  16. This. There has been some sloppy baseball played in the last month. It hasn’t cost them too much but it will. This is where I would love to know how Rocco handles this stuff behind the scenes. Is it always kumbaya or is he getting after guys for dumb/sloppy plays?
  17. Just have him watch Garver in bp and then get in the cage right after and imitate him. He’ll never get that short and quick to the ball but he will get better
