  1. I do not follow rookies but did he come up for one game , did really well and was sent down again?
  2. Just how? 'His -34 Rdrs/yr., his fielding is as good as Jeffers' throwing out base runners while his batting averaage was tanking the more he played. Contreras had one more home run, only 4 less RBI, and is a very good fielder, he would fit better than Wallner The boy may have big potential but he has a LONG way to go .
  3. Contreras played 24 games in the outfield , his Rdrs/yr was 24 Wallner played 16 games in the outfield, his Rdrs/yr was -34 Wallner belongs in the minors, probabaly AA.
  4. At his age Billy Hamilton was a better batter and a far better fielder; Celestino's day may have come and gone.
  5. Spring & summer are baseball season, that is what matters the most; if they are doing well and may make the post season, that is just a bonus.
  6. I was never a fan of Larnach but I hope this spring he shows he deserves to be in left field; he has good defense numbers. I like Gordon but he is too often a combination of Go Go Gomez (running) and Willie Norton ( fielding) (In Norton's defense, his fielding improved drastically his last year but his bat disappeared.) you are never sure which form of Gordon will show up each game.
  7. Arraez is , within his range, a better Second Baseman than Polanco, but Polanco is a better we need a long ball now player. Unless they trade him for a better than average Second Baseman, they would be down grading the team.
  8. Buxton loathed being Designated Hitter, his batting average showed that well.
  9. Narvaez is another run-at-will catcher, other teams would love that; if you want to steal bases ,play the Twins.
  10. No I do not follow rookies rules closly at all. He had only 79 games in 2021, what is the minimum games played to be eligible for RoY?
  11. That really is sad as he never got to put in a full season to see what he can or cannot do; although with the Twins bring rookies up, down, up , down not surprising.
  12. IF, if Wallner improved drstically, he might make AAA Player of the Year but that would be amazing. Larnach, if he picks up where he left off, slight chance.
  13. Narvaez career Caught Stealing number is 22 percent; Sanchez career (both 7 years) is 29 percent. Narvaez would just be another black hole at catcher; resign Sanchez he is better than either, Pitch framing is just a Willo the Wisp with some dude thinking catchers can perform magic, Jeffers is far from a magician behind the plate.
  14. I said in other posts, he has potential, if he makes a concerted effort, to improve to be another Judge; without that effort to improve, he should never leave the MInor Leagues.
  15. Wishful thinking does not over ride reality. 16. We do not need a back-up catcher we need a competent every day catcher; as of now that is Sanchez.
  17. Kepler is worth 3 Wallners, he is a very poor fielder and his batting average was dropping fast; he belongs in AAA but really AA. or he will become another Sano.
