  1. Glad he saw it and nobody had to notice for him, it's always sad when great players have to be told to leave. Torii had a great career and treated all of us to some great baseball, in the end I'm happy he went out as a Twin.
  2. I suppose if it's an "after all other angles fail to materialize" situation. It's all those other angles I'd like to see first.
  3. So is it a priority to get better catchers? Or get their catchers to play better? I'm not convinced it's the former. The A.J. thing is beyond me, c'mon already.
  4. How did that game have anything to do with Leidner? He threw the ball 12 times. To even mention the QB in a game like that is hilarious. Northwestern held Stanford to 6 points, if you don't think that's a legit offense you need to watch more college football. Great win for the Gophers, that can be said without tearing anyone down.
  5. Excuses for what? Building a foundation of continued success for years? This program is miles ahead of where Brewster left it and is also on more solid footing than during Mason's years imo (and that's just recent history). The biggest reason? Defense. I'd much rather have the program where it is today than where it ever was with Brewster and where is was after the 2006 debacle to Texas Tech under Mason. But that's just on the field stuff, the off field stuff is where this program has really changed. They won't win the West this year, especially with a crossover game against OSU, you know, the #1 ranked team in the country OSU. But I wouldn't bet against them next year.
  6. Supposedly big time NCAA football team? Because they lost to the #16 ranked team with a top 5 defense. I'd continue arguing with you but your post is borderline flame baiting. It's all Leidner, you win. Case closed.
  7. I live in a diehard hockey city, this site is my lifeline to discussing baseball way beyond what most normal people find.. well...normal. I think the membership here is second to none, unbelievably passionate and knowledgeable. Thanks to everyone who participates.
  8. Sorry, I must have misunderstood when you said they weren't a very good team. Ranked 16 and likely moving up, their offense is nowhere near as bad as the Gophers, they're also a lot healthier.
  9. Leidner and the offense were pretty awful today, not much arguing that. Having said that, not many QB's have put points up against the Cats this year, their giving up an average of 9 points a game. Very good defense, not sure anyone would say they're not a very good team.
  10. MPPOTDA most predictable post of the day award

  12. Ok, Chris Young is not this good, c'mon fellas, square it up.
  13. Dang, if Zuke manages to hang onto that foul tip it's probably still 1-0. Too bad.
