  1. I wasn't aware his fastball velocity was only 90 nowadays. Thought he still was in the mid 90s

    Saddest sports city

Sadly I will be negative until they do something to change that. No faith over here
  3. I honestly think the Twins ownership is terrified to give away money to tell someone to leave. I think they want to milk any sort of productivity possible out of these guys. There's no other way to explain guys like Shoemaker and Happ (still no clue how they got someone to trade for him) and now Simmons being on the roster as long as they have.
  4. It's time for him to go after his latest twitter post today. His views are completely contradictory of the organizations. These posts all came after he caused the Covid shutdown as OP mentioned. This has to be the last straw with him. If they don't DFA him today, then they won't.
  5. I’m sorry but I stopped reading after reading Drew Maggi, 32 year old minor leaguer having a career year.
  6. I think they could retool, but it will take some good free agent signings. Let's look at starting pitching free agency from last year. Twins signed Happ and Shoemaker which has been a mess. Here were some low cost free agents that have had good years. Charlie Morton, Kevin Gausman, Anthony Desclafani, Rich Hill, Carlos Rodon, Taijuan Walker, Corey Kluber, Alex Wood. They're out there, but the Twins aren't getting them.
  7. How is the number 1 option unattractive? Rogers last pitched 3 days ago and just threw 3 pitches. There was no logical sense in removing him knowing you had to find someone for the last 2 innings
  8. I don’t know how anyone could defend Rocco ever again after this one. Even the players are likely losing faith. No sane person would ever remove a 3 days tested Rogers after a dominant 3 pitches for Shoemaker. rocco has this ridiculous notion that if the twins are losing by even 1 run the game is likely over and he can’t use his best relievers. Well nice job idiot, this entire loss was on you.
  9. Seems more like he's loafing around because he's making big bucks now. This entire situation will set the Twins back to the Terry Ryan days once again. Finally they pay big money and this is the bum they get. AAA players would provide more value simply because they know how to hustle and won't be injured 24/7. Sadly, the Twins will not be back next year. It's going to be a long time before they're good again
  10. I was planning on writing more, but you covered it so perfectly I don't have to. This is 100% the truth.
  11. So you don't care about the game living on in the future and your grandchildren and their children being able to watch? Because if they don't make changes this league will die.
  12. The twins looked like a bunch of whiny cry babies. I will always be a Twins fan, but this wasn’t a good look for any of them. These unwritten rules are ridiculous and the twins players and coaches showed they have very thin skin and are worrying about the wrong things in an awful season so far.
  13. I love watching Arraez hit righties but he’s only the number 1 valuable trade asset right now because of team control. I doubt he’d bring back as much as many think he would. While he plays a lot of positions he doesn’t play any overly well, he’s basically unplayable vs lefties. Idk why twins writers overvalue him so much.
  14. I think he's referring to the the drop in production from the Twins bats overall since Rowson left. Varela has to go.
  15. Diekman came in and just threw straight fastballs down the middle and cruised until Astudillos near hit
  16. Obviously it’s early and Donaldson is out but Arraez might take Polanco’s job as starter soon. Gotta get Polanco out of the 2 spot also. It’s like he’s trying to erase Arraez’ hits and walks with double play grounders. He just seems to have lost all the pop in his bat that he had in 2019. He had great hitters counts all day and then swings at bad pitches and hits them weakly to 2nd.
  17. Boy, this is frustrating. Good enough to start a MLB playoff game, but not good enough for opening day. I was all for moving on from Rosario and his lazy play, but that mean upgrading his position. Cave/Rooker are not an upgrade over Rosario. They're just not. Sure, Kiriloff will likely be up in a few weeks, but that will come after not playing any actual baseball games with AAA not starting up for weeks. How is playing batting practice every day going to make him a better player? The AL central is tough, it's not like the old AL Central with the winner going 86-76. They have to start fast or they'll be left in the dust, doomed to lose a one game wild card.
  18. The top thing I was worried about was Rocco’s injury history as a player and it seems to be playing out exactly as I feared. He is deathly afraid of overworking anyone because his career was derailed by injuries so he is babying everyone, giving them days off when it’s not needed when they’ve all had plenty of days off already.
  19. Pretty worrisome that Rocco thinks the bullpen is overworked on day 3 of nearly 39 straight games when the starters all had quality starts. Extremely worrisome for the future. Neither may nor Hildenberger had pitched much but it looked like he was saving Hildenberger and that he’s already lost faith in May. If my count is correct he only has faith in two relievers now 13 games into the season. We’ll likely be seeing 10 of these blown saves the next 40 games. Why do I feel like Tyler Duffey will be making his 965th trip back to the majors soon?
  20. Two warning track flies and a lineout for Astudillo with a phenomenal defensive play. Astudillo is fine.
