  1. Put Angel in New York, doing replay. Angel: " Oh my, is this what I really look like behind the plate and on the bases. I'm really a doofus with a little black hat on".
  2. Garcia's wind -up reminds me of how Baldelli looked, walking back to his room last night.
  3. Well the pressure is off. No way the Twins will come back. So I can go out side and toss rocks at my neighbor's iguana.
  4. Playing from behind builds character. And, we sure as heck, got a bunch of characters.
  5. Who posted : At one point right before the trade deadline, someone here posted the twins would have the best record in the game with another manager. Who posted this? I've never seen this or heard this before. These posts from someone, that person, etc. can be a lot of fodder for discussion, if validated. Otherwise, it's just a non-credible posting, IMO.
  6. Correia's decision to stay or opt out is going to be on someone's shoulder, not his. If he stays, he'll look like a great guy, solely looking to build a championship for Twins fans. If he opts out, it will probably, make him look like a great family man, doing what's best for his family in the long run. The Twins will never will a bidding war for correia's services for a long period of time. So, he can just sit back, do his thing, and collect his dough. About the only thing he has to worry about, is getting hurt.
  7. Add another incident to Rocco's list of inadequacies. It's not the first time he's been guilty of not knowing the rules. Heck, if he doesn't have the official rulebook handy, he can 'google' it. The guy is a buffoon, and we've been suckered by not calling him on it, and holding him accountable.
  8. Imagine if Arizona had signed Verlander. His pharmaceutical supply would be so convenient. And his new nickname: Big Pharma!
  9. Twins look like little puppies who wet the carpet. Already beat .
  10. It's one thing to watch Verlander pitch successfully, it's another to hear Smalley and Bremer campaign for his sainthood, for about 3 hours.
  11. Dump Baldelli before it becomes mathematically impossible. Why prolong the inevitable. He is not the answer, only the anchor pulling us down. Let's try and hope for a minor miracle.
  12. I think we've kissed good bye having Correia even think about coming back. Regardless of his own performance he's fed up with the way this team plays. He possibly has a few gems of wisdom he would like to impart on Baldelli. So next year, Correia will be gone, and Buxton will be going through his aches and pains, which forces him out of action. The young guys like Miranda, gordon, and such will find the going tough, as teams will be making adjustments. We'll see how good these young players really are.
  13. A good practical joke would be to sub Verlander's PEDs with Viagara. I bet he would pitch from the stretch, the entire game.
  14. Bremer is full of donkey dung. After 30 years he acts like his knowledge of the game and Minnesota is limited to shoveling snow and hating the Metrodome.
  15. Or his family had an adjacent lot on the right side in their back yard.
  16. This home plate umpire is terrible. I'd rather have Stevie wonder perform open heart surgery on me, than this guy.
  17. My wife always looks at the positive side of things. She says, the sooner the Twins drop out of the race, the sooner I can finish writing my book. Gotta love those optimists.
