Cedar Rapids did not play on Wednesday due to poor weather. The three other Twins affiliates played tight, one-run games. A couple of Top 20 pitchers had big games. A couple of Top 10 hitters have multi-hit games. Read all about them and more in Wednesday's Minor League Report.  

There were a few top pitching prospects on the mound for Twins affiliates on Tuesday night that each had strong outings for their teams. But it was another pitcher who isn’t quite recognized as such (yet…) who would steal the show in just his second professional outing.

Week 2 of the minor-league season was a good one in the Twins organization. All four Twins full-season affiliates had winning records. The Saints went 3-2 despite being no-hit and playing in frigid conditions. The other affiliates all went 4-2 for the week. And, there were a lot of great pitching performances as well. Although the Twins suffered another bad loss at the hands of the Boston Red Sox, the Twins minor-league affiliates had better games on Sunday afternoon as the Saints, Wind Surge, and Kernels all won their games. The Mighty Mussels lost but played a close game that went down to the final pitch.

The Minnesota Twins' minor league starting pitchers dominated and a couple of young prospects crushed multiple home runs as the farm system combined to go 3-1 Friday night.

Spencer Steer continued his hitting streak, the Fort Myers bullpen dazzled, and the Saints were no-hit in Lowertown. Read up on all the action from across the Twins minor league system from Wednesday night!

Thunderstorms wreaked even more havoc on the Saints on Tuesday than it did the Twins, resulting in their game being called after five innings. Elsewhere on the farm, Cedar Rapids got a tremendous start from a 2021 draftee, and in Fort Myers, there were extra innings. Were the Mighty Mussels able to walk it off at their home opener at Hammond Stadium?

Minor League Baseball is underway! The Twins’ affiliates kicked offseasons that will be filled with breakouts, wins, and box score hawking. On the whole, the system went 11-4.
