The Twins avoided a sweep in Texas but only the Kernels joined their MLB counterparts in the victory column on Sunday afternoon. The Saints and Wind Surge found themselves in the loss column while the Mighty Mussels were rained out. 

Miguel Sano hit the first two home runs of his rehab assignment. Marco Raya was on the bump again. Will Holland made one of the best catches you may see in the Twins system all year. Minnesota will add multiple players in the 2022 MLB Draft. One draft pick from last season already highlights the importance of drafting and development.

On Thursday morning, MLB announced the participants in the upcoming Futures Game. Two Minnesota Twins prospects will participate, infielder Spencer Steer and outfielder Matt Wallner.

In a scheduling quirk with the new minor league realignments and the holiday, all four of the Minnesota Twins full-season affiliates had the day off on Tuesday after their 4th of July contests that were played on their normal day off. Both rookie league teams were in action with one of them providing a firework-worthy celebration of their own down in the Dominican Republic.
