The Twins’ Minor League affiliates couldn’t get the bats rolling in a quieter offensive night. Even then, the Kernels picked up another win and a top prospect hit a homer for the Surge.

There were multiple shutouts from the pitching staffs of Minnesota Twins affiliates on Tuesday, including one in a triple-A doubleheader, and another down in Fort Myers that was started by a rehabbing Bailey Ober.

Over the weekend, we handed out theoretical awards to the top minor league hitter and starting pitcher of the month of August. Today, we conclude the awards by discussing some very impressive bullpen performances over the past month. 

Remember Brian Buchanan? One of the four players the Twins received in the Chuck Knoblach trade to the Yankees in 1998. Well, he's doing quite well as Theo Tollefson caught up with the Royals Triple AAA hitting coach prior to the Saints game Saturday night.
