The Twins split their doubleheader with Cleveland on Tuesday. They won the second game 6-3 thanks to strong performance from Nick Gordon, Ryan Jeffers, and continued improvement from the bullpen.

The Twins fell to Cleveland 3-1 in the first game of Tuesday's double header. Any reflection on the outcome paled in significance to Joe Ryan sustaining an injury after taking a line drive off his pitching hand. Game two starts at 6:40 CST.

On Monday, Luis Gil took the mound against his former organization, and he has been impressive in his first taste of the big leagues. Does that mean the Yankees won the Jake Cave trade? It's a lot more complicated than that.

The Twins jumped off to a five-run lead early and were able to stay in front for most of the game, despite losing their starter after only 12 pitches. But some terrible ball-strike calls helped the Yankees to rally back and walk it off in extras.

Every team has players that don't get the credit they deserve. Minnesota's season has been tough to watch, but these three players have made things a little more tolerable.

It was another strong week for Minnesota's emerging young arms, including a fantastic performance from their recently promoted rookie starter and an impressive debut from one of their best relief prospects.

The Twins drop the series rubber match and fall to 63-80 on the season with a 5-3 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Buxton, Brent, Bailey, and the Bullpen tried their best but the top of the Royals lineup was too much for the Twins. That and more in today's recap!

The bats provided ample run support, and Michael Pineda stayed hot as the Twins took down the Royals with ease.

The Twins are in need of rotation help for 2022 and have a convenient candidate in  Saturday-starter Michael Pineda already on the team and likely willing to come back. Perhaps the Twins shouldn’t be so quick on a reunion, however.

A big four-run first inning was all the Twins got from their offense tonight, as they couldn’t produce a single run after that. The bullpen had an inspired night before giving up a game-winning home run to Andrew Benintendi in the 11th inning.

Following the 2020 Major League Baseball season, we would get a year in which normalcy returned to ballparks. The Minnesota Twins had won two straight AL Central titles, and their offseason set up a three-peat opportunity. Then the games started.
