Twins Video

When Garver is ready to return...when Cruz is ready to return...who gets sent down? Will it be Litttell and Arraez? Will it be two relievers, since the starters are doing so well and Arraez is such a good hitter and can play several IF positions? ? Will it be 2 position players since two position (DH and C) players will be returning? What do you think?

I think it depends on how many at bats you think you can give Arraez once Garver and Cruz are back. If he's just going to sit on the bench he should be sent down to get regular playing time. Then if an injury pops up you can call him up and use him. If you think you can get him in the line up 4 to 5 times per week then keep him around and send down a pitcher.

absolutely send Littell back. Let him and another RP shuffle back & forth from Rochester.

If Arraez keeps hitting, put the most banged-up player on the 10-day DL and keep shuffling until Arraez stops hitting or you run out of banged up players.  (Which I doubt would ever happen.)  :)

Littell looked really good. Arreaz has looked really good.

Adrianza has performed the worst, but he has been steady and solid.

Astudillo's bat has been flagging for a while. But he continues to be an asset to the team.

With Duffy's new veliocity and his usual awesome breaking balls, how could you possibly send him down?

Gun to my head, I would choose Adrianza or Arraez, and probably Littell. I would not be happy about it.

I suspect it will actually be Arraez and Littell.

Good problem to have, GREAT problem to have, but this just plain sux.

When Cruz comes back I think they will do the old “pitch & ditch” with Littell, if Littell pitches a couple innings they’ll send him down right after (trying to think of a catchy name for it) unless they really need a fresh arm, and they call up a pitcher, if Cruz isn’t ready. Garver still sounds like 4-5 days minimum, at least.

Quick topic pivot-  When Pineda is healthy what will become of Smelzer?  The twins selected his contract.  Would they then have to let him go?

He won't pass waivers.

Looked good. Until he did not

Littell and Arraez (who should play every day).   Then, I know the fans will hate it but La Tortuga is probably the most likely to go down next if the Twins need another reliever (another lefty would be nice).   Adrianza has lifted his average enough to stay,

Decisions to have. And you still have no room in the dugout for Wade or Cave, not to mention Stewart. What has become of Moya and Vasquez? Will Mejia fit back in?
