  1. I thought the same thing at first, but I am hoping it’s due to the fact that they are trying to fix his swing and he’s still uncomfortable in the box with the changes. Hopefully he can start to make good strides within a few weeks when he’s getting comfortable with the corrections.
  2. Thanks! I was just curious and confirmed that my high expectations only made me remember the couple games where he has multiple strikeouts. I really do hope the FO will give him a week or so cup of actual playing time right before Sano returns although I doubt it will happen.
  3. Does anyone know Gordon's strikeout rate? Just seems like he's striking out atleast once a game (but i could only be noticing the games he does because of high expectations). Just wondering if it is alarmingly high, and if so if that is something from keeping the front office from promoting him since we already have people striking out a ton at the MLB level. With all the injuries I'd love to see him get a cup of coffee before Sano comes back, so he knows what he needs to go to triple A and work on.
  4. I get what you're saying and the man has certainly forgot more about baseball than most of us will ever know. With that said I don't think he deserved that last year. I know we went worst to the playoff but I think that had more to do with good play than good managing. In my opinion he was flat out out-managed in the playoff game last year plus im sure plenty more. I don't think I could do a better job than Paul but I do think that they could have found someone better to do the job. That is where any of my complaints come from.
  5. Is our bullpen that bad that we are leaving a guy in that has been getting hit all game to throw 106 pitches? Sadly I know the answer is yes but its just horrible.
  6. I hope the offensive has it in them to not leave it up to the bullpen.
  7. Yeah I agree that was definitely part of it, but I am very certain that I read something about him being very popular among the players and that was also part of the reason. But that also very well could have been a cover up. Just hope is leash is a heck of a lot shorter than we all think because I am not a fan.
  8. He was resigned because the players loved him. Now it's time for him to show he can get them to play good baseball again.
  9. Loved the article! I think one of my favorites was his first career walkoff homerun which he celebrated in typical Joe attitude by not getting nearly as excited as most do lol.
  10. The front office has a plan if Molitor isn't the manager in that plan they need to find their manager regardless of results this season. That's exactly what the Cubs did, Theo stuck to his plan regardless of results and it paid off. Molitor is also not a good manager in my opinion. Loves the bunt, but doesn't call a bunt with runners on 1st and 2nd with no out I just don't understand that. His bullpen management also is not good in my opinion, but these are all just MY opinions. From stories we've been hearing on TV he wanted to fix the defense this season and he certainly did so have to give him Kudos for that! Was a great year overall though and I'm ready for the next one to start!
  11. I really do not understand why the twins are carrying an 8 man bullpen. Especially when Molitor only uses 3-4 of them in tight situations.
  12. I would assume he is just the filler until a starter is needed on Friday. On a side note I'd bet on it not being Gee as he has already thrown 36 pitches and I'm not sure at all but I would bet they don't throw too many more than 30 on a bullpen day.
  13. With them having a double header today I'd be shocked if they elected for a bullpen type game. But I have seen crazier things happen.
