    I'm a music junkie. I play Cat Stevens on guitar all the time. But if you're going for comedic effect play Sheryl Crow. If you play the 60's versions millennials who don't know music will just tweet about how the Twins picked a weird cover of Sheryl Crow (which makes me weep inside).

    I know Lynn has his faults, but if we can get him on a 2 year deal with a higher annual amount then do it. We have to get some more depth.

    The question is why would Buxton sign an extension. If he fulfills his potential, he should want to become a free agent ASAP and not have free agent years bought out. If I'm Buxton I'm tempted to bet on myself and get to free agency.

    I'm not concerned over 8 at bats, but I do think he needs to cut down the strikeouts and get in better shape to fulfill his potential. Hope he does, because he could be MVP caliber.

    Great deal. I don't know how much Cobb or Lynn are asking for, but I still think we should go for one of them if it's a fair deal. We have flexibility to spend, so let's get some depth in this rotation.

    I understand the top 4 are risky, but now is the time to take a risk with contracts coming off the books soon. Let's be aggressive and go for something. At some point every front office has to take a risk.

    I bet the Pohlads aren't gung-ho about the dough they wasted on Byung-Ho to see if he could hit in the show.

    Other than the White Sox (who could maybe fit in to this category), I see one problem for the Twins schedule. Every team is better than us.

    This has nothing to do with Terry Ryan personally, I've met him several times and he's a standup, high class guy. But does anyone else feel that his collective time at GM was overall underwhelming? The division titles were fun, but most of those division titles came in a very weak central with the Tigers, Royals and Indians all being pretty horrible. As soon as we got to the playoffs it was fairly obvious we weren't as good as the other playoff teams. Granted, the Twins had no flexibility for payroll and other teams did, but Terry Ryan really only made one aggressive move at the deadline in all of those years (Shannon Stewart). And I think it's fair to say his second stint as GM was a disaster. Overall, having one playoff series victory in his tenure just feels a little disappointing.

    If Berrios starts in AAA, I guess I can see why. He was just awful last year and needs to get his fastball under control. But Mejia? What's the point of starting him in AAA? It's pretty obvious that he is better than Vogelsong, and you'd get him some big league innings to see what he's got. Vogelsong is not part of the future. Mejia could be. Give him the #5 spot.

    When the Twins signed Vogelsong I chuckled and thought: "Don't worry, there is no chance he'll make the roster". I never learn.

    No matter how you frame it (sorry folks), pitching mostly comes down to location and movement. If Twins pitchers continue to throw in the heart of the plate, Castro becomes less valuable. I think it is a valuable skill, but in no way is adding a catcher going to decrease our runs allowed by 100+ runs. That will come with simply executing pitches and playing better defense.

    I know there is basically a zero percent chance of this happening, but if Ryan Volgelsong wins the fifth starter job I'll probably have a stroke.

    Please, for the love of God, get rid of one out bullpen specialists. Make anyone coming in to the game pitch to at least two batters. Also, limit mound visits. Watching a catcher walk to the mound multiple times an inning is maddening. Just doing these two things would make huge progress in my opinion.

    My high school coach never told me to hit down on the ball. He wanted me to hit line drives/fly balls. Probably because I was slow.

    Since it seems that no one plays on their promotional/bobblehead day, it hurts me to say that Rocket Raccoon will probably be out of the lineup.

    It's frustrating to watch him struggle, but I think in the long run he's going to very good. If he can just work hard and learn to not chase the breaking ball (which I think he's starting to), he'll be a top of the line hitter.
