The Minnesota Twins prevailed in Texas, winning 6-5 to end their road trip on a positive note, going 3-3. Down in the minors, Matt Wallner hit a leadoff home run for Wichita and appears to be on his way to another blisteringly hot month. The good news: The Minnesota Twins pitching staff held the Rangers scoreless in all but one inning tonight. The bad news: They gave up six runs in that one inning. The Twins flashed the leather and had some impressive web gems in Texas Friday, 7/8, but could not come away with a victory. Down in the minors, David Festa had an impressive start for Cedar Rapids and Andrew Bechtlod blasted a walk-off home run in extra innings for Wichita.

Tim Beckham hit another home run for the Saints and is still maintaining a .400 average and an OPS north of 1.100. The Minnesota Twins couldn't finish off the sweep, falling to Baltimore 3-1 at Target Field. It was a frustrating day for the bats and an eventful day in the outfield, particularly for Gilberto Celestino, who made an error but followed that up with a great running catch and a tremendous throw to nail a runner at home.
