  1. That's not what I said. I said that Jeter and others were booed in the road too and it didn't impact them. Correa made that choice. Now he's got to deal with the consequences.
  2. The constant boos on the road didn't seem to hurt Derek Jeter much. Or many other prominent Yankees from that era, for that matter. It's part of the game and being a professional athlete.
  3. Before this goes further and hijacks the thread, I'll point you here where this topic is already being discussed.
  4. In general, I haven't been impressed by the defense of either Jeffers or Sanchez. There are factors that are tough to evaluate, especially with as many games as I follow on the radio or Gamecast, so I can't opine so much on those. Controlling a run game isn't the tool that it used to be, as much as I dislike that. What I care about most are calling a good game (which is tough to evaluate from a fans perspective) and controlling balls in the dirt and or keeping balls in front of them. I don't think either are particularly adept at that. 2 PB each, while a small number, is quite a bit for being not quite 1/3 of the way through the season. And offensively, it's not really a contest. Sanchez was the better bat even before his latest hot streak. I think there's plenty of room for improvement at the position, especially defensively. It's not my highest priority, but there can be improvement there.
  5. Nor since they took the plexiglass down at the Metrodome. They should really stop messing with the outfield fence areas.
  6. Another good recap, Nick. It was a pretty busy week too. Hopefully Lewis has a shortish stint on the IL and Gray doesn't need one at all.
  7. Royce Lewis debuted in centerfield today. The bad news is that he left the game with a right knee injury after colliding with the wall.
  8. I'd actually bring both up, but if I have to choose one it would be Lewis. Lewis can fill the roll Gordon currently holds and then some and Kirilloff would allow Miranda to be sent down. Perhaps an injection of youth could spur the offense a little.
  9. So, I was right when I asked which came first, the chicken or the win!
  10. Not quite as efficient as what @USAFChiefis looking for, but pretty good nonetheless.
  11. Seems plausible. Is this part of @Squirrel's theory?
  12. This is still going less well than I had hoped.
  13. It's a good thing games are 9 innings long then.
  14. Not if they don't keep adding on and the Royals chip away.
