    I played baseball through high school and was on a couple of the traveling summer teams. Kept playing softball through college. I also played basketball until I was a freshman in high school. Being short pretty much ended that for me, despite being fairly athletic. I picked up golf somewhere around age 12 and am still an addict. I don't play as much as I'd like, but that's the story for many a working stiff like myself. With a more formidable lineup than yesterday, I'm optimistic that the bats can show some life today and pull this one out.

    Come on now. At least in my case, expecting poor results from a depleted roster against some very good AL East teams isn't saying the sky is falling. I still expect this team to finish above .500. Maybe not get to 90 wins, but close to it. Does that make it better?

    If that is the idea, it probably makes more sense to call up Kirilloff and shift Arraez or Miranda to 2B with Kirilloff playing 1B.

    Oh, I get it. I'm in that group too. Even as I actually voted I felt that if they get a pair of wins out of that stretch they'd be lucky but took an optimistic route instead. I just thought it was amusing that basically everyone in that 3-4 win camp was voting that way hesitantly and openly admitting it.

    Exactly, there's a couple of ways to take that. One, it's amazing that they've actually extended their lead after that stretch. Yet, it's disappointing that they only gained one game over a very weak portion of the schedule.

    Some may find it interesting that the Twins had a 4 game lead in the division on May 4th. Today, they have a 5 game lead.

    It's kinda funny how those that voted for 3 to 4 seem to all be wavering on that prediction. That includes myself. Not a good state of the fanbase.
