  1. Depends on the price I suppose. 2/15 may be a little steep, unless it were to be back loaded a bit on the second year. I say he'd be a upgrade from the likes of Harper, albeit at a much bigger price tag. Having said all that, I think he's a good bounce back candidate. 2014-2017 he was a decent reliever even without his 2 extreme outliers of 2018 and 2019. ERA was 3.21, FIP 3.43 in those four seasons.
  2. I'd say at minimum one pitcher from the top two tiers Strasburg and Cole obviously at the top of the wish list. Then go re-sign Odorizzi and Pineda. My rotation would look like this: 1) Cole/Strasburg 2) Berrios 3) Odorizzi 4) Pineda 5) Wheeler/Keuchel
  3. I do not think Eddie alone lands a #3-4. Pair him a top 5 prospect and a throw in, maybe. I'm not so sure trading Eddie would be a answer either. When healthy, (big when) a outfield of Rosario-Buxton-Kepler is as good as any outfield in the league. Having said all that, you gotta trade from depth to get a decent return. Gotta spend money to make money kind of thinking.
  4. See the issue I think is the Twins front office offers what the pitcher is worth. Look no further than Darvish, Yu. They offered him what he was worth, maybe more now that there is two seasons under the belt of that contract. With doing that and then getting mocked for "being in on" seemingly every big named free agent. Then coming up short is the Twins will need to overpay to get big names to come. For whatever reasons, payroll "restrictions" (which I don't think are much of a thing as they used to be), past culture (2016 and beyond excluded), weather, etc, is not landing the Twins the big fish. I hope this can change in this off season
  5. I honestly think that different broadcasts pick up ambient stadium sound more than others. I barely noticed it whenever it was on FSN, but the national broadcasts in the regular season and playoffs, I noticed it more. It doesn't really bother me, I usually tune it out and barely hear it.
  6. My original thought was that Dobnak was a decent enough ground ball pitcher whereas Odorizzi is a fly ball pitcher. Take that for what it is with the results. I'm not so sure Odorizzi would've had better results. We'll never know. Not sure if I agreed with it, but now I have the benefit of hindsight.
  7. Well, that happened. Decent enough start, kind of got away from them at the end. I'd assume Dobnak is going tonight and I assume that Smeltzer will piggyback on tonight as well. I'm guessing that Odorizzi would be going tonight had they won Game 1. Don't want a bullpen game in a potential 0-2 hole
  8. You read it correctly. But I could also see how it could be misconstrued. Things are tense right now. I also try to not pass up a opportunity to use that video and quote it off hand regularly.
  9. As others have said, little surprised with Adrianza's inclusion. But he provides a little more than the Turtle. As with Gibby over Perez, meh, seems like it has as much to do with the Yankees only having 2 lefty bats as it does with Gibby's ability to pitch. Wouldn't expect much out of either, hopefully Gibby proves me wrong.
  10. Playstation Vue, Hulu Live (after game 1) or YouTube TV alternating 7 day free trials may be in order for me.
  11. If they roster him for the ALDS, whether he starts game one may depend on who the Yankees starting pitcher is. If its Tanaka for game one and Arraez is available, I'd say Arraez will start. If its Paxton/Happ, wouldn't be surprised to see Arraez sit and be available off the bench. Arraez slashes .355/.399/.488 vs righties as opposed to .274/.398/.298 vs lefties.
  12. Garvers 2-HR night on 9/7 vs Cleveland was one of the few I've witnessed in person this year. Target field was rockin after the second one.
  13. If they plan on having 2 traditional starters (Berrios/Odorizzi), bullpenning 2 starts, Berrios/Odorizzi for a 2nd start for game 5. I'd rather have Smeltzer instead of one of Perez/Gibson. Probably would swap out Perez, just for lefty for a lefty's sake. Then plan on stacking Smeltzer on one of the bullpen games. But I'm just rambling.
  14. IF he can figure out how to stay healthy, Buxton holds more long term value. But it's a huge IF.
  15. HOLLA https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vance-Worley-Vanimal-Minnesota-Twins-Home-White-Jersey-2013-Men-s-XL-Majestic/192886734108?hash=item2ce8f1fd1c:g:v7IAAOSwkjZcrpu2
  16. Would absolutely scour Ebay for a Jason Tyner or Caleb Thielbar jersey
